My children have used this service for respite. The first visit, my children were told by an employee that they were “lazy and slow.” I contacted the director about this seeing as one of my children has disabilities.

The second time around I was assured that my child would be allowed to advocate for his needs. When he asked to STIM he was denied. He asked to contact me and was told “No, you can’t” even when we specifically asked and got permission for safety issues. My son tried to reach out to me because they took the kids to someone home and stayed inside the entire time. My son was afraid and wanted to contact me to know what was going on.

I will no longer be using their services as there is no accountability. Some of the activities were great when they took them to the movies and the science museum.

My kids were referred here from JFCS. The first time that we were scheduled for respite I didn't get a confirmation or any directions until 2 days after. Than we were scheduled for a month for today and I drove all the way over to the park looking everywhere for them and so I called them and without informing me they cancelled it. I'm cancelling services with this place because they are unprofessional

This place let us down. It was very hurtful and discriminatory. If you have a child that is visiting the respite birth to 5 house then make sure their communication skills, eating habits, self bathing, potty habits are great and top notch, or they may be rejected. We were told that my son wasn't eating. But then later told that he did in fact eat quite a bit, but they were to distracted to notice is what we were told. I was also told by the manager, that my son who is 5 needs to be able to bathe himself fully by age 5. They first said age 6, then changed their minds. They later said because his communication is insufficient, he cannot visit anymore. This is fine, but I do think they should change from their name Respite to babysitter, because I thought respite was for people on DDD services. They discriminated against my son for being disabled I'm certain that is illegal. I don't recommend them if your child is on ALTCS. If your looking for a babysitter for a typical child, then they might be sufficient.

they wrongfully fire employees as well as not only not really caring about the children they work with this company is only in it for the money do NOT get services with these people.

We are taking care of our 8 year old grandson, which becomes challenging at times! Lol
But I cannot tell you how much Zarephath has helped all of us! Our grandson loves the Respid sleep overs once a month, also the weekend day programs they offer! He’s safe, having fun while doing activities and we get a nice break! The staff is fantastic, can’t say enough good about them! They have wonderful counseling as well! Thank you for all that you do!

CEO personally reached out to me to get an insight to what happened and so on. After lengthy discussions, he handled the complaint and I feel that he is and will commit to the betterment of respite and the families of children with high needs care.

Best in the business, the homes are so clean. The school therapy services are unbelievable.
