It was amazing just didn’t fit my style of place to be maybe detox but as far as 30 days or longer it was something I just couldn’t handle personally .
The staff truly wants to make you comfortable and some conditions can be swayed just talk to your staff and allow them to squeeze in the dirty work on your behalf . (Not going into details) The houses were bigger built than originally thought. Jerry and Saul were apart of my team and also did group with us and there story’s will blow you away plus tho there I’m forgetting by name. Will look into that 12 steps book and looking forward to my future journey. Oh some Hawaiian guy God bless you for carrying my luggage y’all are one of the best 🙂 🤩😀👀

Windward saved my life. The love and care that the staff put into that place is amazing. Shout out to Paul, Chad, Saul, Gerald, Otis, and Tony. All amazing and kind people. The fact that they stepped up and made my experience the best it could be is awe inspiring. They made it fun but also helped work through hard emotions. I hope that one day I can do the same for others, as those guys all did for me. Thank you Windward.

This facility is awesome. Clients as always can be difficult to handle including myself. Although the care team, therapist and facilitators are amazing. I had Andria as my care coordinator who met with me weekly to see how my progress was. Richard the program assistant goes above and beyond for all clients. Jacob my therapist helped me through things I didn’t think I was capable of working on. All the facilitators have their own way way facilitating groups but as long as I was engaged, open minded, willing and honest I got something out of every group.

I was recently at Windward for 7 days. I felt the staff was caring and compassionate and really cared about my well being and success with getting sober. Tyler did my initial detox intake and i saw and talked with him several times throughout the week i was there, he's awesome! All the staff/counselors were friendly and helpful (Otis, Danielle, Stephanie, Tony, Gary, a few others i can't remember their names).
The living facilities and appliances could definitely use a little TLC, but i didn't mind. I was there to receive help getting sober, and that's exactly what i got. 10 days now without a drink and NO urges at all to touch alcohol ever again! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's serious about getting off drugs and or alcohol!

Windward way at Newport Beach was the best place I could have gone! The housing was beautiful and the group facilitators were life changing. The care team was there for me at every turn and a special thanks to my therapist Julia, she really does care. The techs that handle your day to day are kind and empathetic. I gave five stars for the company but beware of other clients, lots of drama. Also beware of the clinical director Tara, the administration can be intimidating if you try to leave. Other clients with whom I built relationships with share my distrust.

This facility endangered my son through deception, negligence, and blatant disregard for his well-being. Despite repeated communications from his adoptive parents that there were no resources for him in Boise ID and that arrangements were being made by me in Riverside County, they put him on a plane to Boise, ID—against our wishes—after manipulating him into believing he had a safe placement in Boise ID. No such placement existed.

When confronted, they claimed he had demanded a plane ticket to Boise, which was not true. They also said they had sent him back from where he had arrived from, which was not true. We had driven him to their facility from Santa Clarita, ourselves. When asked if their policy is to purchase plane tickets to wherever clients wish at the end of their stay, they wouldn't answer.

For a month, they provided only inconsistent and vague medical updates while keeping him just long enough to collect payment, only to then abandon him at an airport in a vulnerable state, fresh from another stay at the local hospital. When confronted, staff dodged accountability, with one key staff member more concerned about her “day off” than my son’s safety. Luckily, I had arrived in time for us on conference call, to get him to understand he had been lied to and not to get on the plane. A very harrowing experience.

They admitted, after his stay ended, that they feared they’d find him dead—yet never ensured he was in the proper medical care. This facility prioritizes profit over people, exploiting families and putting lives at risk. Stay far away.

All the staff are very welcoming. The group facilitators are some of the most genuine people I've ever met . I've never been to Treatment before, but this place really open to my eyes and into a better life I could have.. The reason that I am giving it three stars is because of case managers and the lack of transparency or individual care that they give you. They are always too busy to really hear what you need. They brush you off and give you one word of response. They have way too much on their caseload and the little mistakes or lack of communication can cost people their jobs, and
Livelihood

I don't wanna throw anybody under the bus, but I would really like to speak to a higher up about how I was misled the whole time I was there thinking my job was safe. I am now on the brink of being fired because they didn't cover the days from when I called. I emailed my case manager three times to please send in his part for my loan so that I didn't get behind when I was out of work. Never did it. So now I'm home I'm healed. I'm sober But almost more detrimental that this happened

This place has such a great environment and staff, including Gerald, Andria, Garry and Kenia which my whole care team. I am truly blessed and grateful i had the opportunity to go through my recovery here and have the best support. The residential and detox process was so welcoming and made me feel safe. I am currently 96 days clean and i cannot wait to have many more days to come and it’s all thanks to Windward Way Recovery. The facility staff give such good groups and advice. I am so grateful for Tony, Yvette and Paul. I couldn’t have gone through it without them as well. I am going to miss this place so much. The Techs at the house always make sure you are well taken care of. Doniel and Eric have made such an impact on my journey. I highly recommend on starting your recovery here at this program.
