I had an excellent experience at Woodlands Medical for my first visit as a new patient. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and efficient, making the check-in-process smooth and easy. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and I didn't have to wait long before being seen.

My provider, Dr. Tyler, was thorough, attentive, and took the time to listen to my concerns, answering all my questions in detail. I felt genuinely cared for and respected through out the entire visit. It's clear that the team at Woodland's Medical values patient well-being, and I left feeling confident in their care.

I highly recommend Woodlands Medical for anyone looking for a professional and compassionate healthcare provider. I'm looking forward to being a patient here for years to come!

Im pretty disappointed with my visit. I was paying out of pocket for my first visit and I was rushed the whole time and didnt get all of my questions answered, I got maybe 10 minutes with the doctor and 9 minutes of that was us talking about my medication I have taken and none of what I was actually there for. Halfway through i was told her next two patients were already there so it made me feel even more rushed and i just wanted to leave at that point because it was giving me anxiety as a service provider myself i know what its like to be overbooked. She told me to just reschedule in 6 weeks to talk about everything else and its just not fair because what was I paying for that day then? When I was checking out I was made to feel like a crazy person because I dont have health insurance as if i am the only person that has ever gone there without it. I paid $250 for 10 minutes and I left wanting to cry because I cannot for the life of me find a doctor that will listen and actually help me and its so frustrating that I paid so much money for absolutely nothing. I had high hopes for woodlands clearly I shouldn’t have.

I came here for a mammogram. The new facility is really nice. My primary care doctor is with Woodlands, so I thought I would try here. I usually go to Women's Group. Anyway, they give you a bathrobe and a locker to put your belongings. You have your own waiting area with soft music and even snacks! The tech was great, and the mammogram itself was very non-invasive. Highly recommend!

Scheduled an appointment with a doctor back in October. Got called and was told that he doesn’t accept new patients and got my appointment pushed back to December. I come in for my appointment just for them to tell me that I was rescheduled with a doctor that doesn’t accept my insurance and that I would have to pay out of pocket. If you want your time wasted, this is the place to go.

Been a patient for a little over 2 years now. My last appointment I arrived right on time for. Earlier that day I was sent a text to arrive 15 minutes early for check in. As it was, I could not accommodate this change the day of. If they had informed me at time of scheduling it would not have been a problem. Once I arrive, precisely on time, I had To wait in a line at their new location for over 25 minutes JUST to check in. When it finally arrived for my time in line, the receptionist rudely informed me I was too late. I explained I arrived on time and had been waiting in line for 25 minutes, to which she rolled her eyes at me and said “the line might be long but we’ve been getting throught it pretty steadily” very dismissively. They have security cameras and aren’t shy about showing it (not upset, just pointing out that I saw My own arrival on the security camera screen when I walked in, so I had video evidence on my side). I had Just found out that morning that I was Pregnant and was in an amazing mood, so in an attempt to not ruin my day, I did Not verbally retaliate or argue and got up to leave. Now, over two months later, I can Say that it did, in-fact mar the memory of the day I received My news of what will be our first child.
I have A different last name than my husband. Every time I was In they would use his last name for me instead of mine. I politely corrected them every time and every time asked them to change it to my actual legal name as well— as these are my medical records. 2 years went by and the change was never made. I figured Maybe they were unable to. Finally, when to the new office location for the first time, I informed The receptionist and she corrected it in literally 10 seconds. I thanked her endlessly and expressed how difficult this has been to get changed and she confused, apologized and said it shouldn’t have because it’s literally two clicks in the system to change.
Very upset with my visits to this establishment. Will be establishing with a PCP somewhere else.

This note is given to Megan in ultrasound on Nine Mile Rd on behalf of my wife, Elizabeth Houghton- Maples for a visit. During my time time on this world I have had really good people who knew what to do when the patient is scared or anxious about a procedure to be done on them.

However if you are fortunate enough to get Megan as the provider you are in good hands. She was the most proficient care-taker ever.

She was professional, kind and nice . I just had to write and let the people she works with, know how much I appreciated her kindness and sense of humor.

Thanks Megan, we love you. Liz and Dan Maples.

No thanks Woodlands. I don't need this kind of customer care. tried to have a mammogram today but my 10:00 appointment was rescheduled for 1:00 PM after I was there for a half hour because they couldn't process my insurance info in time, even after I offered to pay out of pocket. I tried to get there 15 minutes before my appt, but google maps directed me to their old location. Got there 5 min before appointment and had to wait in line to check in. Mind you, I gave my insurance info when I made the appointment. They called yesterday to tell me they didn't have my insurance info, so I called back, only to get voicemail--left a message that I needed to give them my info again, but nobody called me back.

I had my 1st visit to establish my PCP 3 wks ago with Dr. Moumita Biswas since I'm new to this area. Note: I never even met Dr. Biswas. She was on vacation first visit & was supposed to see her on my followup in person visit. I'll just give the facts. My 1st visit, they had me fill out all my med history which clearly indicates I'm very healthy. I have no history of heart problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, stroke, etc. because I'm in my 50s. Then Sharon (redhead) & Brittany Brooks asked all my meds which are allergy meds and ADHD med which I have specialists to prescribe for me. After, they scheduled me for 2 follow-up visits within a week a part of each other. One virtual appt to prescribe my meds which I don't need nor consented. They never even asked. They just assumed. Hence, I declined when they texted me to remind me to go to my telemed appt. Remember, all I'm doing is establishing my PCP. The 2nd followup appt in person was to check my blood pressure which I agreed to log for them due to white coat syndrome. I have white coats syndrome all my life & shared this fact upon first appointment. We agreed that I'll share my logged normal blood pressure for the past 2 weeks to them which is within normal blood pressure range in the follow-up appt. Then they came back and say my heartbeat seems to have palpitations. That's pure nonsense. I take ADHD meds which possibly raises blood pressure and heartbeat. I had to rush to the appt because I was running late and clearly that causes blood pressure and heart beat to raise. Also, I'm stressed at work because of a situation that needed to be resolved and I couldn't wait to go back to work to resolve it. I shared these facts to the staff. No other doctors in my life has diagnosed heart palpitations and all my specialists in Pensacola and my entire life never once any medical profession claimed I had heart palpitations. Go search when EKG is appropriate. I had another doctor (not my assigned PCP) in Pensacola in March that gave me a physical and blood test. My work doctor also gave me a physical and blood test. I passed with flying colors. In fact, I had 10% or less risk of heart attacks and strokes based on the evaluations. I even went back to my work doctor that same day to be checked to give them benefit of doubt and he advised it's nonsense that they want to do an emergency EKG on me. Both doctors (private and work doctor) mentioned my heart beats a little faster but it's fine due to the ADHD meds. No mention of heart palpitations ever. My blood pressure was fine too. Both doctors had no concerns. Even my psychiatrist checked my blood pressure and heart beat and shared I'm fine. So, going back to Dr. Biswas' staff that they advised me they need to do a EKG asap and I'm about to have a heart attack and/or stroke due to heart palpitations and my blood pressure was so high. They even used fear mongering tactics that they may need to take me to the emergency room. I had an EKG 3 yrs ago over some nonsense claim which the results showed I'm normal and healthy. I learnt from that past experience. I knew with discernment that they're pulling a fast one on me. I declined and told them that's not going to happen and I disagree with their diagnosis. Hence, they could not do anything because it's my right as a patient to call out their questionable ethics and practice. We as clients and patients with medical profession must have a discerning eye these days. It was a complete waste of my time. I have a high profile role which I'm responsible for and they wasted my precious time coming into the office 2x just to establish my PCP. I'll use them as my PCP and blow the whistle on them if they continue. I leave my experience for all to judge after reading this post. Btw, I have excellent health insurance coverage. I have high moral ethics and believe in right and wrong. I'm not some idiot off the street that they can manipulate my emotions to acquire their desired outcome for medical procedures. What do you think is going on here? What is their motivation? You be the judge.
