If you're planning to go voluntarily for solely mental health reasons just know it's initially a co-ed unit so if you're female and feel uncomfortable in that space with men (even with a female roommate), just request to your doctor and nurse asap to be relocated to an all female unit (mostly recovering from substance abuse). Hopefully they'll have a bed available.

Technicians are more laxed, understanding, will talk to you occasionally to check up on you but they are not professional therapists so give them a bit of grace and leave them alone from time to time. Their literal job is to check vitals, perform an EKG and walk around to each room every 15 mins. But they'll do their best making your stay comfortable. But again, not professional therapists.

Nurses from my experience did well with their job performance but like the technicians they aren't therapists but they'll CHOOSE to care if they want to but they mostly just do paperwork and administers medications. TALK TO THE DOCTOR and PSYCHIATRIST about medications not the nurses, they'll give you basic information about the medications but to change dosages or add/subtract medications all together talk to psychiatrist.

Psychiatrist I worked with was great because communicating clearly is vital for a successful plan to stabilize one's mental health. Go to treatment for YOU.

Cafeteria workers were kind and on time but if you're a picky eater they'll passively aggressively let you know you're difficult and don't like you. Food is well prepared and bountiful.

CASE MANAGER was absolutely amazing. Group therapy is conducted by her Sometimes a thanks is all that's needed for people like her. They'll appreciate it.

Yoga teacher was kind.

Doctor came and went. Not sure why he's needed honestly if the psychiatrist can do most of the work with medications.

I had a very positive experience in the intensive outpatient program. The groups were very beneficial and therapists Dawn and Ena did a great job facilitating. I met with Dr. Henein several times for medication management and he was always willing to listen and make suggestions. Gary at the front desk does a great job welcoming the clients each day and is always there to lend a helping hand. Special thanks to Nancy, who is extremely caring and was willing to assist me with all of my documentation. Therapist Stephanie and Nurse Kristine are also very dedicated to their jobs. Thank you again for all of your support.

From the moment I arrived Gary welcomed me, and showed me around. He made me feel welcomed and safe. Then I met Nancy, she is an angel and made me feel comfortable. I met Dawn and Eva, these 2 wonderful ladies have helped me on my journey to wellness, because of them I and leaving today with the skills I need to coop with my bipolar, anxiety and depression. Jodi was so nice and helped me with my insurance questions. Stephanie helped me find everything I was looking for when I needed help. Over all, this was a great, caring, and safe experience and environment for healing. Thank you for everything.

Outpatient center is for me was quite an emotional roller coaster but the team was very helpful. Met some awesome people. The PHP program is lengthy daily but I want to say it helped me make progress. Especially from where I started.

My 77 year old mom was sent here because she was having mental illness issues. The facility only called us when she took a fall. No one ever communicated with the family or even her friend who was her emergency contact. Then when we (my sister and I) started trying to find out what was going on they would not return our calls. Then they set up an emergency transfer to an assisted living facility. When we went to see her within an hour of her arrival she was heavily drugged and looked like she hadn’t been bathed and her hair was greasy. She didn’t have her teeth or hearing aids. When checking with the person who controls her medication at the new facility , Wekiva Springs changed her psychic medication and added medications that affects her stage 4 kidney disease without ever looking at her medical records or contacting any of her health care providers. Leslie Scotti was her case manager and we left 5 messages and never heard a word. Then we left messages for the head administrator and never received a return call. I will get her name and address it when I do. When I said I was coming up there my mom was transferred within 30 minutes. This placed needs to be shut down. Filing a complaint with the state!!

I was desperate and needed help. The staff was supportive from the moment I walked in. I did in patient care, and it was the best thing I could have done. The techs, nurses, and caseworkers really helped me. Upon my discharge, they helped me set up a plan of care that worked for me. I am so grateful to this place and the staff. thank you thank you thank you!

The staff was amazing. This facility saved my life. I would give 5 stars but as a Bariatrics patient, there were no protein options in between meals. So I lost 10 lbs, and had to smuggle milks back to my room to keep my protein count high. Also shout out to Josh, shantavia, gena, and the 600 unit staff.
