I went to see Virgilio Bernardino, PA with St. Vincent's Primary Care as I have a medical background and work history for many years working with doctors etc. I wanted to stay with Ascension doctors and he is under Dr. Barbara Cruikshank which has been in practice for many many years. With the insurance that I have currently I wanted to see a good Dr or ARNP and not one that was assigned to me and I had to wait a month to just get seen. Nice office, nice medical assistant/nurse Marisol, and nice Dr. The issue is they when you call you can never speak with the nurse, or she is not able to take the call. You leave a message and talk with other staff which is fine but I am not happy at the moment due to the fact that I have several referrals that I have to go see and I have called these specialists to schedule and they are not the correct type of specialist I need for my needs. For example I need a gynecologist and I was referred to a gynecologist oncologist which is kind of scary because I do not have cancer. Also I have something needing a surgeon for and said that the dermatologist I was sent to would see me. I am the one calling for these appointments and being told information and then I have to call back after I call and find the correct Dr who accepts my insurance and have the referrals corrected to be sent first so I then can call back and get an appointment. Thank goodness I have experience and knowledge in this field and know what I need to say and do but it is disappointing that I would have to do this myself and also be referred to other doctors that I do not need. The list the practice has for the doctors I guess needs to be updated. Right now I am waiting on a call back to confirm the referrals have been corrected and sent over so I can then make appointments. Just really inconvenient to me and being in the medical for 16 years previously just really disappointed in this. Hopefully I will get what I need after the several calls I have made.

I've avoided Dr's most of my life because of bad expierences. Not only did Dr. B and the staff make me feel comfortable, he genuinely took his time with me and listened to all my concerns and didn't make me feel bad about my condition. He also gave me multiple suggestions on how to improve my health. I finally have a primary Dr. that I look forward to seeing.

I love Dr. Bernandino... He listens and has been my pcp for approx 10 years. I love Dr Barbara Cruikshank as well. I won't go anywhere else..they are so knowledgeable and genuinely care
..they are like family toe and my husband. My actual last name is Skaggs...they take care of my husband as well!

I have been under the care of Mr Bernardino for approximately the last 10 years. He has always been very cordial and thorough during my visits. He patiently listens to my concerns and provides feedback that I’d very helpful. He goes over all of the details of blood work making any needed recommendations. I’m in very good health and consider him an advocate. I value and appreciate him.

I enjoy going to my appointments. The staff are very nice and helpful. The medical assistant, Marisol that works with Dr. Bernandino, is very kind and understanding when I have questions and doubts. Dr Virgilio Bernandino is very knowledgeable and kind also.

I really enjoy Dr Viegilio A. Bernardino. Only issue I have is that the front desk phone seems like it's not working correctly. Because I'm always getting hung up on. So I forced to call the appointment line.
