Village Dermatology is my now go to for my skin issues. No I haven’t had a face lift or anything but problems with squamous Cell skin cancers. Doctors are professional but also personal. The nursing staff is always cheerful, kind and considerate. No wait time. The staff always keeps you informed. And contact you a couple days later to check on you. My go to place for my skin needs.

Dr. Pflederer and her staff have gone above in the care they have given me. I had a very invasive Basel cell on my lip. Surgery was August 20 of this year. I’ve been going back to her office every 2 to 3 weeks for checkups on the healing process. The last visit she put injections to help the healing process and to help with scarring. I highly recommend Dr. Pflederer!

Linnea and Dr Pflederer put us so at ease and were so sweet and explained everything that it would entail plus options. Check in and out a breeze. Highly recommend!!!!! Beautiful office too!!

Was billed (first visit) for $474.00, and
Was billed (second visit) for $372.00,
Was billed for $245.62

My insurance paid only part of it, so they sent me the bill for $245.62 that’s for more rashes and more small wounds and my sufferings as the consequence effects of the prescribed medications, that made all the rashes and small wounds a lot worse than before visiting her.

Went to see doctor at this office for a few rashes and a few small wounds. Had to wait for a long time, and had a chance to see doctor for only a few minutes.

Waiting again for 3 hours at the pharmacy because the doctor office did NOT send the 2 prescribed medications to the pharmacy, while waiting I called the doctor office and the one who answered my phone said she will let the doctor know. After waiting for a few hours, I was on my way home, the pharmacy sent me a text that the doctor office just sent in the 2 medications, so I went back to the pharmacy and got that medications.

Why doctor had to take 3 hours (waiting for 3 hours at the pharmacy) to decide whether what kind of medication should be prescribed?

Is this the way a medical office supposed to perform their medical profession?

Went to see doctor again for the second time, with more rashes and more small wounds because of the 2 prescribed medications. Doctor prescribed 2 more medications. I could get only one medication and the other one, my insurance won’t approve. I called the doctor office and ask whether the doctor can prescribe any alternatives. Someone called me back and said the doctor did NOT prescribe any alternatives but want me to pay for that medication from the doctor’s pharmacy. I don’t want to pay, how can I be sure that the medication she wanted me to pay will work because she had NOT performed any kind of tests (SCRAPING, BIOPSY, ALLERGY test). I will pay if the doctor can guarantee that the medication will heal all rashes and wounds.

Is this seemed like a business practice than a medical practice, NOT for patient best interest.

Rashes and small wounds are a lot worse than before as the consequence effects of the prescribed medications. I’m hurt and suffer enough, and it’s really hurt me more when receiving the bill for $245.62 and had to go through the way they treated me here.

This is how they contribute to human well-being.

Beneficence: The ethical principle of doing good and acting in the best interest of the patient.

Was billed $474 for about a 3 second visit. When I called about the bill, they told me my insurance didn't cover the cost. Which is wrong. I had to call my insurance company only to find out this Mountain Brook AL location had put most of my info in wrong. So then guess what? Insurance covered the cost. So I kept getting bills for the copay, which I ignored for months just for the fun of it. Today, I finally decided I'd pay it and guess what... the pay online option is garbage and the button on the bottom of the "I AGREE TO EVERYTHING FOR YOU TO TAKE MY MONEY" page just can't seem to get to the next screen no matter how many times I check that little box. What a waste of my life. So add to that the fact that this place has a super weird vibe going on, oh and that the prescription I needed was sent to some weird call in or online pharmacy, not my regular pharmacy, and WOW what a waste of time and my insurance company's money. And let me just go ahead and say NO! to the "response from owner" as I do not wish to waste even more of my time and contact "your" customer service bot. And speaking of wasting time, let me conclude this review (which is for the people, not for the "owners" remember) with a big NO THANKS! to this place and all the clunky baggage they created in my life. There are literally too many other places to go to ever go back here.

Dr. Tauscher and her nurse, Ashlyn, are amazing ! My 16-year-old said she wished they could also be her pediatrician. We are huge Village Dermatology fans!
