Well, mom got some of the best PT rehab I think she could have ever received. Ryan is very attentive and helped her regain her footing and strength after a fall that had resulted in a broken pelvis. You can tell he REALLY does care 🙂
I would have given it a 5 start review but it seemed as though we had to make sure that the other care items were being done in a timely manner. They do try and I know that being a care giver/caretaker can a daunting task. Communication with family could definitely have been better.
I thank them all for doing their best and helping my mom get better.
God bless you all there and keep on striving for excellence!

My mother was there for rehab after a fall at another facility. She also has dementia so it’s a very difficult situation. At Villa the staff were compassionate & took very good care of her. From all the therapist, the nurses & most of her aids & I can’t forget activities! My mom had so much fun. I loved to see her laugh & playing, dancing in her chair, singing & coloring. My mom is sweet but can be a hand full. They were so patient through it all. My mom ate the food & was always clean. One thing I liked about Villa is the cleanliness. I can continue to write how great they are but with all this being said… I would have loved my mom to stay there long term but unfortunately it wasn’t possible. For reasons out of their control or mine. Thank you all at Villa.

We are very happy with Villa health and Rehab. My father came here for rehab after leaving the hospital.
From entering the bright, sunny foyer to be greeted with a smile to the caring staff that are attentive to my Dads needs they have all been wonderful and helpful. My questions or concerns are always answered and they genuinely care about the patients, from assisting with feeding , extra pillows , wound care and physical therapy all of his needs are taken care of and it gives me and my sister peace of mind knowing that. I appreciate all the staff from the business office to the hairdresser to the CNAS to the Doctors and nurses thank you all for your hard work and caring attitude towards my Dad and our family .

My second stay at the Villa recovering from. MRSA infection in a knee replacement. The nursing staff are knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. The PT staff are personable, enthusiastic and always ready to step in and help with your recovery. The catering has significant room for improvement. Overall, a great place to spend several weeks in recovery.

The Villa health and rehab is an awesome skilled living facility the staff and management are fantastic They are all about the patients and their families. They really work well with others and help with resources to keep the patients out of the hospital. I can’t say enough for the executive Director Shari and her team.

This facility is unprofessional and I am convinced my grandmother would have stayed sick or gotten more sick had we let her stay there. First off, this place is dingy and dirty. The grab bars in the bathroom have spots of rust and the room had dirt and dust. The room was not cleaned the whole time she was there.

Now the quick complaints: They did not check vitals every shift as they should. We had to ask the staff to wear PPE (such as masks)- you would think that would be a given for someone who was transferred from the hospital with contagious viral respitory infection. l I had to ask for towels, we had to bring her own toiletries. She described the bed as uncomfortable and also shared that she had to ask for more water, rather than them bringing more when they do rounds. She was unable to get anything to eat in the middle of the night when she had woken up hungry.

My grandmother was transferred from the hospital on a Friday evening and upon check in, they are supposed to tag the clothes the patient brings. The woman at the desk said they likely wouldn't be returned to her until Monday, so I left out 3 outfits for my grandmother and checked the rest of her clothing in. She didn't get her clothing back until Tuesday. The hospital originally said her stay would be 5 days, but after the first night she wanted to go home, which was an option that the hospital had originally gave us. Anyways, they said they couldn't discharge her on the weekend because the social worker wasn't there. She didn't see the social worker until TUESDAY, after she and I had already asked about discharge on Saturday. The meeting was a disorganized mess. The staff rushed into her room and told her to get ready for a meeting in 10 minutes. Mind you, the 3 days she was there already, nobody had offered to bathe her, she had just gotten her clothing an hour before (not on Monday as was expected). An 80+ year old woman with a walker had to dress herself, and there was a male staff member and two female staff members who saw her buck naked pulling up her underwear because they had left the door open. That is so humilitating. She says that she felt like a prisoner.
As her point of contact, they called me without any prior notification that this case management meeting was happening. I'm glad I was available to answer the phone and make sure she could leave that place.

On top of all the above, POOR MEDICATION MANAGEMENT:
Before leaving that first night, we spoke to a nurse about sleeping medication and the one they had on file, my grandmother said that she has adverse, psychological reactions to it, as is common of many sleeping meds. We asked that she be given another sleeping medication, and the nurse said she would put in a request and not administer the medication that was on file. Which is fine and what was expected. But when we left the facility and reviewed the paperwork, it turns out they had given her the medication we explicitly told them not to. My grandmother was high and delusional and had a totally different affect due to her being given this medication just from 3 days- which is why we said no to this medication in the first place. Also after leaving, we found that she was on incorrect dosages of the medications she had prior to her admission (so it's likely the fault of the hospital who transfered her), but I am surprised that the facility had NO effort to review a medication list when they recieve a new patient. Especially someone with multiple conditions and medications that interact. My grandmother legitately could have died due to these incorrect dosages, had she been there longer.

4 days later discharge, we have not heard from the facility at all regarding any follow up.

As far as I am concerned the VILLA is top notch this is my second time here it has the Best physical therapy department anywhere. Starting with JoMar and especially Ryan they have helped me so much especially being here the second time. But the whole PT department as a whole is excellent. Even with Kim and her magical fingers working the kinks out of my neck. The manager Martha should be commended for having such an amazing staff
