A very good facility with many dedicated and caring personnel. I received great communication & detailed information from the start. It is very difficult for nursing/rehab centers to navigate Medicare, government bureaucracy, patients families disputes, rising cost of operations, and above all maintaining a great admin & nursing staff.
I would love nothing more than personally recognizing everyone who made an impact, but there are far too many people to mention and remember so thank you to everyone. Everyone I have met and came into contact were just great . Thanks again
I highly recommend this center. KB

When trust is beyond important, it’s nice to be able to say that there is a place that lives up to it. This facility has my trust and gratitude and so much more! I would recommend them to anyone looking for care that delivers. They go above and beyond for families.

There are a few nice people working there but overall this place is so very sad, depressing, rundown, dirty, smelly. On the plus side, my stepfather did get good physical therapy and I thank the therapist for that.
But, he had jewelry stolen. I say stolen because I can 100% guarantee I saw it there. He had a brand new razor and blades stolen (I brought them there myself). He had an electric razor stolen (also brought to him by me). Put cameras in rooms, search employees bags when they leave (heck GAP even does that), but something needs to be done to prevent that. I was told to submit a grievance report which I did. No one has gotten in touch with me to let me know how they can make this right.
I would come to visit my stepfather and he was in someone else's clothes day after day. They said the laundry was backed up...whatever. Some of his clothes "went missing"..whatever. It was always something.
I felt like every time I asked a question, the nurse, aid, whoever, immediately got defensive and they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. Grant it, if I worked in an environment like that, I wouldn't be doing much smiling either. However, the patients that come here deserve more courtesy, deserve to be treated as humans...they shouldn't have to sit in wet depends all day, they shouldn't have to wait 15 minutes for their call button to be answered.
I did get off to a slow start with Carrie, the "case manager". When I first tried to find out the plan for my father's rehab, I felt like I was bothering her with my questions. Again, I attribute that to the poor working conditions. I think as time went on, we communicated much better and in the end, she became an advocate for me, so thank you Carrie.
Hopefully I don't ever need a rehab place for my father again. But just in case I do, anyone know of a decent one? I for sure will NEVER go back there.

I have found Venice Health and Rehab to be very professional from the moment I walk through their doors. I am usually greeted by Jason who opens the door, as this is a secure door/facility. The Executive Directors door is always open and she greets me with a smile and hello, whenever she sees me. The staff is always friendly, from the maintenance folks, to Nursing, social workers and rehab staff. Jennifer, the Social Worker, provides compassionate care with regards to discharge planning and always has the patients needs in mind for this process. Every rehab facility has its challenges, most times, daily. I have seen Venice Health and Rehab tackle issues and get them resolved quickly. A big thumbs up from me!

Over the past years, we have received referrals from Venice rehab and taken care of some of their patients going home. I have personally interacted with Jennifer Carley and Linda White in social services who are always prompt at attending to their patients and family’s needs. They are always responsive, helpful and caring, which is essential when dealing with people’s lives and their needs. I enjoy working with social workers who are dedicated and share these attributes with me.

Words cannot describe how terrible this facility is! Medications were tripled to keep my mother in a zombie state so she would just sleep constantly. A female nurse screamed at my mother to stop hitting the call button even though she had been sitting in a wet diaper for hours! She said she was busy serving lunch and left my mom to sit for several more hours in said wet diaper. The meals were served cold and un fresh. The building it’s self has a very unclean feel to it. Upon arriving with my mom to the facility we were not greeted by anyone. The overall attitude of the staff is very poor and unprofessional. I got my mother out ASAP
