I have been a patient at Vantage Eye Care for many years, utilizing both their medical services for eye exams, as well as their optical services for prescription eyewear.

I recently visited the optical department to browse through the selection of frames for prescription sunglasses and eyeglasses. On this day, I had the fortune of being greeted by a very friendly and helpful technician named Kim.

In this day and age, where employees sometimes forget the importance and impact of customer service, it was refreshing to have such a positive experience. Kim greeted me with a smile and offered her assistance to help me select frames based on my needs and preferences. She was very patient and helpful. She was also knowledgeable about my insurance plan coverage, and thoroughly explained options offered by Vantage.

A couple weeks later, I went to pick up my prescription sunglasses. Kim happened to be there and immediately stopped what she was doing, to offer her assistance. Once again, she greeted me with a smile and went above and beyond to complete my transaction.

Working with Kim was a pleasure, and I truly appreciated her kind and friendly demeanor. Employees like her make all the difference in giving customers a positive experience. This was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had there in probably fifteen years. Kudos to Kim, attitude is everything!

Just finished having both cataracts done at Vantage Vision Center in Salinas. A big thanks to Dr. Chung, and to the entire Vantage staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, they all seemed to enjoy working together as a team and supporting each other. That’s what always makes for an enjoyable patient experience like I had. Thanks again!

I don't know about the other patients, but has far as I'm concerned, my doctor is awesome and I haven't gotten a negative response from any other staff member there! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Well structured check in, plenty of seating and prompt call to appointment. I saw Dr Li on my recent visit and never felt rushed during my appt. She was professional and seemed genuinely interested in my presence. The frame selection is broad to accommodate all budgets and the tech was pleasant.

I had a cataract consultation today. I am very upset that the lady who scheduled my appt. did not let me know that my insurance was not accepted at their surgery center. When I made the appt i told her the name of my insurance she said they accepted the insurance but it would have been nice to know it was not accepted where the surgery would be performed. I wasted my time and money at this place. I was given other option like scheduling another evaluation again with an eye doctor in monterey where they accept my insurance. at the surgery center. Or schedule the surgery with the eye doctor who seen me today in monterey, but not until October and the other eye would be operated in February. This staff needs to be trained in giving better information to new patients so other patients don't have to go through what i went through today. I will also be getting in touch with the manager.

I had an impeccable experience from beginning to end. I had an unprecedented emergency due to a corneal ulcer, and Dr. Ryan was truly exceptional in treating my infection. Staff was also very courteous and attentive. Would highly recommend to all, thank you so much!

Not great. I was called by someone who sprinted ahead of me, leaving me to fall behind as she led me to a room to ask me some intake questions. Then to a room for preliminary tests. This person was not at all pleasant and seemed as if she was mad about something. She then took me to a waiting room where I waited for someone else eventually took me to the doctor's exam room. This person was nice but our interaction was very brief. I sat waiting for the doctor for 40 minutes. When she arrived she too seemed mad about something. She told me to put my chin on the rest. I tried but I had to bend way over and crane my neck. She snapped at me that she wasn't tall enough and that I needed to press harder because the chair was broken we just had to make it work. I felt like the exam was rushed and took less than 2 minutes to perform. Why is everyone here so angry? I will not be returning. Finally, as the doctor was finishing my rather brief exam she told me that I could also get my eyes checked for a prescription then promptly dismissed me. Her assistant led me to the front counter where I was released without anyone so much as making mention of an appointment, other than the one I made to return a year later. After 2 hours in that place I was left with a very bitter taste and will never return.

Very little waiting time and excellent service!
However, the room in which Amy gave us the instructions for the eye drops for the upcoming surgery wasn't really big enough to hold a wheelchair and two people.
