I never complain anywhere but this I have to give a review about. I took my sick toddler in for a quick test because she’s sick and after 2.5 hours we finally get called back and I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes so far just for a prescription and to get discharged. Terrible wait time I’m still here.

Saturday May 25th 2024 12:30am ER Admitting staff were unbelievably cold and rude. My 15yr old son escorted his girlfriend into the ER accompanied by her mother. They wouldn’t allow him to go upstairs with his girlfriend and mom, which is understandable. So when he tried waiting in the lobby for me and mom to pick him up. The only female clerk in the ER Admitting overnight shift, rudely told him he couldn’t stay in the lobby without a parent or guardian so instead of keeping him safe inside, she made him wait outside ALONE without a parent or guardian after midnight weekend hours. This is unacceptable. When we picked him up he had been waiting outside for a total of 12mins. He was scared and alone standing in the parking lot.

I recently took my 1 yr old to the ER in the middle of the night and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The intake admin staff were incredibly efficient, and within 30 minutes, we were called for initial evaluation and put in a room. We stayed over two hours for testing and observation. The nursing staff were kind and took the time to explain everything they were doing. I sincerely appreciated Nurse Practitioner Kamara listening to my concerns and thoroughly answering every question I had.

@1:17pm I have arrived to the ER, to get checked due to not feeling well, I have told them I believe I have food poisoning knowing that the symptoms I had I wasn’t my 100%. Also, waiting almost 8 hours of wait time to get called to the back. I’ve been asking the front desk where the registration is at asking the ladies what’s the wait time, when am I getting called back I’ve been waiting for a while now that I was watching other patients go before me even though I’ve been waiting longer and arrived way before them. And finding out that when I asked the lady at the front desk that look I have work tomorrow, I am a mother that I need to go home to my kids too, and I’ve been waiting this long and finally asks me let me see your tag and she lets the staff/doctor know that I’ve been waiting for 8-9hours … I finally get called to the back, and they finally tell me we apologized a staff member/nurse must of have discharge you or misplaced your documents without letting the night shift aware of that you were still here waiting to be seen… and that made me upset because if I wouldn’t have gone to the front desk asking am I next, when am I going to seen I would’ve been have waiting for a whole night probably the next day ! It’s upsetting . Please y’all need to do better as a team!

Slowest ER I’ve ever been to, it’s been 4+ hours and I’m still waiting. Just drive to Uvalde or even San Antonio and save yourself hours of time.
