Family physician sent lab orders to Val Verde Regional 3 times but hospital claims they never received them. Could never receive confirmation from hospital over the phone. Had to physically drive to hospital each time to see if they had the lab orders. Once we were able to actually have blood drawn, the hospital never sent the results to our family physician. It took our doctor’s office 30 minutes on the phone to get labs sent to them.

I was there on 3/5/25, when I arrived I couldn’t even talk the girl up front took care of me right away. I don’t know her name but thank you. They took me back to the room and Dr. Hoover was awesome, and nurse Sarah the same. My CNA girl was awesome sorry I didn’t get her name thank you. I’m just grateful that they were able to give me a diagnosis and help me.

Went to the emergency room around 9 at night and got out at 5 in the freaking morning! This place is a joke!!! They swabbed my kid from nose and throat and results said negative on everything. As soon as we left we headed to San Antonio and they swabbed her again results came and She was positive for INFLUENZA A AND STREP THROAT!!!!! how the heck they didn’t see that at valverde! Worst place to go. Literally they will make you wait if you dying! Never again

Despite the long wait time, everyone who helped me 4/11 were all so nice and helpful. I came in with a fractured knee and torn MCL. The nurses were great

Not to discredit other reviews, your experience is your own. However, my experience was fantastic. I ended up needing my gallbladder out and I had gone to three different ERs in the past. This hospital found what took others a while to see. The admiting administration was super quick and they got me in a room really fast. The doctors, nurses, CNA's,café workers were super friendly and made my stay so much more bearable.

My 3 year old sister suffered respiratory failure and this hospital told us to give her Tylenol and go home. We went to SA and she was immediately put on a ventilator and was hospitalized til her oxygen levels went back up, when it’s me I don’t mind the useless staff messing up my health but when it’s a loved one it’s a different story. I almost lost my sister due to getting misdiagnosed at this hospital. Go to SA for your loved ones health !

Took my wife due to chest pains and weak breathing. Waited in the waiting room for six hour and another 3 just so they can say it was nothing. They also did cat scan, blood work and X-ray. You have better chances in Mexico and in San Antonio for your loved ones. I don’t recommend going here.

I've been here @ Emergency lobby since 9am
Extreme upper back pain(#10) difficulty breathing and is 2:45pm.
5hrs 45min. And haven't seen a Dr.
If they Dont get Me in a Room by 3 ill walk out…THIS IS THE WORST THING IVE EVER EXPERIENCE 👎👎 DEL RIO VAL VERDE HOSPITAL this is embarrassing.
