This review has nothing to do with the quality of service at this facility it's superb. This review is about people bringing their pets into this facility. In particular today a woman had a yapping whimpering dog in a stroller that was standing up on the edge barking, yapping, and whimpering loudly at her every time she walked away from it. This is not a Petco. There could be people in here with compromised immune systems.

I’m 100% disabled veteran. I requested a simple medication switch. It’s been an entire month of chasing down “community care” doctor and the VA to communicate and coordinate this. I am still without the medication I need. I finally went to the community doc and had him physically print it so I could hand deliver it to the VA. I’m now told that they are waiting for “notes” from the community care doc for the reason when they are the ones who sent me there for the problem. It’s really not that complicated. I am still without my medication and no idea when I will get them. I’ll now have to cancel travel plans I made with my family months ago. I would be better off paying for the prescription out of pocket even though I’ve earned the medical coverage. This is beyond ridiculous.

On hold forever. Then transfer you, and on hold forever again. No callback option. Crappy way to treat veterans. I'm calling Donald Trump. Community care is a bigger joke. Never call you back with any appointments. You guys suck.

Veterans in mental health crises beware! Unable to accommodate mental health crisis. Unprofessional, uncompassionate, rude Urgent Care physician. Would not discuss immediate need for critical lifesaving intervention. “Make a phone call when you get home and set up an appointment.” Farms out mental health to local Lee Health. Husband and I are both vets. We will never return to this urgent care. Awful and extremely disappointing. We are spoiled with our Madison, WI VA.

Do not go here on a weekend if you are in a crisis or need medicine. Spent 4 hours to be told I'm abusing my medicine I've been prescribed for 5 years by the VA. Got 3 pills to last me the weekend. Yall Wana see me crash out, well see

I have been trying to get an appointment to t
TYSON Eye Clinic since the 8th of Nov 2024 through community Care. I have left two messages On the Answering machine. I have called and called. I've waited on the phone for 15 minutes to a half an hour at a time only too be hung up on. I called 5 tilmes on day and hung up on like 4 times. I have called the optometrist Clinic several times at Bay pines. And they keep saying it is in the system. And it takes two working days. It is now 5 Dec from 8th of nov. I had to go to an Optometrist and pay out of pocket.
I am service connected and 100%. And my eyes are bad. And they told me I need emergency surgery.
I am disappointed with Bay Pines Optometrist Clinic. The Community Care Dept. And this VA. And now I am very Depressed and very upset. Now it turns out I had a Stroke in my sleep. I was in the local hospital for a week Cmas eve and Day. This all started in late Oct and now it is 31 Dec 2024. And I have to wait almost two weeks to see my VA primary caregiver physician. Wow. Wonder how many stroke victims she had these past two months..

Definitely the most modern looking and cleanest VA I've been to.
However, one of gentlemen at the front desk should have a better attitude, or not work/volunteer here. I asked for directions and he was so short and snappy even his peers said to him 'wow, you're mean!'
Imagine if I or another vet was having a a day and this guy made it so much worse. Unacceptable even if it sounds minor. Show respect or you won't get respect.
