They had my husband come in twice only to refuse to give him a tdap vaccine because it had been 5 years, not 10 years since his last one. We are expecting a baby soon and because he will be a primary caregiver to her, it was recommended for him to get another tdap to protect her from getting whooping cough. Incredibly pissed at them for giving us the run around and scheduling 2 appointments, making him bring all of his vaccination records the second time, just to refuse. There is absolutely NO RISK in getting the tdap early and NO REASON to refuse. The 10 year recommendation is for the tetanus part of the vaccine. The Pertussis/whooping cough vaccine immunity has been shown to fade after 3-5 years.

As everyone here is stating: the doctors and nurses are wonderful and provide world class care. The billing and corporate side of this organization are wilfully deceptive and unethical at the expense of people when they are ill and vulnerable. Prior to a surgery, I received a call explaining in advance what my out of pocket costs would be after the insurance coverage (under $1000). They confirmed this exact amount at the hospital. Then I received an additional bill of $450 for extra charges from USC medical. When I called for clarification all the rep could say is "you should have read what you signed". I explained that I signed many things the day of my surgery and she is ultimately right I should have read the fine print on each - yet the more ethical thing would have been to explain to me with full transparency what the cost of my medical care would be and that I was verbally lead to believe it would be significantly different than it was. I have very good insurance coverage. The corporate side of this organization is just absolutely despicable. I can pay the bill. But what about those who can't? Those who pull whatever resources they are able to cover the "stated" cost of their care only to receive a final amount that is SIGNIFICANTLY higher?

They are fully aware of what they are doing. And it is awful.

Not sure how the phone system works. However, i sat in the office for one hour waiting on my appointment and watched the scheduler not answer one call the entire time. The medical assistance told them others patients are coming and people started to pretend to do work. It disheartening that people are unable to make appointments that are needed!

Doctors refer you to other healthcare clinics but don’t send the referral information and the medical office doesn’t answer the phone to fax things over. You have to walk in to make an appointment. Its terrible

I have been working at the university for 15 years and have the PPO plan. We changed to my wife's plan, and USC "Care" Medical didn't bother updating their insurance. They instead sent us directly to collection's, and affected our credit. Disgusting.

I've been a member here over 20 years and I must say the service now is horrible. They don't care about the patients just them selves. Need new health care poor service

I took great care to make sure that the provider was in network. They lied. Don't go to this provider. They are dishonest.
