I have been here twice for scans in the last couple of months and both times I was impressed with my experiences. Friendly and helpful staff. They were organized and got me in and out quickly compared to other hospitals I've been to. I just had an outpatient surgery on my hand yesterday and everyone made sure that I felt safe and comfortable. The nurse giving me my iv was so worried that she hurt me but I barely felt it and I don't even have a bruise. Surgery staff were wonderful as well! My aftercare nurse took excellent care of me. My only complaint is it's so difficult to find a parking spot. I really appreciate that they have valet as I have mobility issues and can't walk far sometimes. That being said, I would have zero issues coming here for anything I might need in the future.

Brought my son in Saturday night due to the fact he was vomiting blood. He was actually placed in an er room fairly quickly but remained there until Monday afternoon when we finally got a room. The doctors said that they were waiting on test results to give us answers. Here it is Tuesday afternoon, all of his numbers are in his patient portal, but can't seem to get his doctor to come back to the room. He's been on the list for an mri for over a day now, and still all we are getting is crickets. If you have any other option for hospital care, take it.

The ER was great and the doctor in there was great. It was my first time in there as a patient. The room was very large and nice. The staff was always quick to respond. I will come back some day when needed. Keep up the good work.

If you didn't have an infection when you got here you will when you leave. This is after 11 days. Not one floor was mopped and the thing that they put the IV needles or needles in is totally full. You're lucky if you get a clean blanket and you're even lucky if you get to sleep with the blanket with your bile on it. I am totally disgusted. My baby deserves better than this even though he doesn't have insurance. He is a human being and he's dying of cancer and he has to sleep on a green pillowcase,etc

The staff on the eighth floor are friendly but not trained. I've been basically doing everything myself since arrival, bed pan, cleaning, asking for meds. The surgeon did there job but I was knocked out for it anyway. For comfortability and safety dont come here for a extended period of time

My Girl had a 5 hour major surgery and 4 days in this hospital recovering. Everyone here is friendly and polite. Unfortunately, that does not mean we received good Healthcare. The doctors orders are not followed by the nursing staff. If you are prescribed medicine every 4 hours you might get it 30 minutes late. It might be 2 hours late. You might not get it at all because the order timed out. You will rarely get it on time. When you ask to speak to an administrator you get funny looks and never get to see one. 2 days after surgery when she was crying in pain because pain meds are 2 hours late. The response is sorry we were checking someone in after mutiple calls to the nurses station. This happened consistently to her. I slept in a chair and was by her side the whole time. It's amazing that this hospital is incapable of following doctors orders and they expect you to accept their incompetency as good Healthcare. If you like pain and suffering while being ignored this is the hospital for you. At least they are nice about it. The Doctors that we interacted with were above average. Some were exceptional. The problem is the hospital.

The worst hospital in the state of Alabama. It used to be great for but not anymore. I broke my back and I had seizures so I was taken there. Stay for 14 while two of those days were in the ER due to now beds.after leaving with a broken that I diddnt required surgery for. I was sent back by Thomas Hospital because I started have multiple seizures to the point I was wetting myself. They begged me to go back to USA where I was having multiple seizures. The only time I no seizures is when I had an eeg which should normal brain activity. I thought only worked someone was having and active seizure. After waiting my time for 2 todays a Doctor came and said I need to go see a therapist because I was stressed and that I was full aware I was having seizures. The Doctor’s at South have become absolutely useless. The nurses were beyond nice and apologetic saying we know you were having seizures because we saw you going through them. Needless to say I will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS HOSPITAL NOT EVEN IF IM DYING.
