It takes 10-15 minutes just to reach the front desk for the initial call. Takes 24-48 hours to speak with a nurse. And if you are not by your phone or unavailable to speak at any moment 24/7 you will have to start the process all over again. We end up having to go to urgent cares for prescription refills and just basic care. According to USA health he loses/ gains 3cm to 5cm of height every visit. I requested the Covid vaccine and was told twice to come in. Both times they did not have it. Was then told I’d be the first to know when a new shipment came in… a month later and I still haven’t heard from anyone. My son’s doctor is brilliant and very welcoming (McMullin). It’s the health system itself that is discouraging. Also, they changed my sons birthday in the system… As I’m waiting this review I’m on hold to talk to someone and it took 17 minutes to even get someone on the phone…and another 15 minutes so they could ask their supervisor…. Just to tell me I need to wait until morning to get a call from the nurse! Who has 30+ minutes to wait on hold during working hours?! Nothing is ever efficient here and it’s the administration/ leadership that need to change the process.

Had I known about this place I wouldn't have never chosen this place to ensure the needs of my kids. This Dr(G) is the worst doctor I have met thus far.He shows no concern for our children. He has no patients with parents who have concerns. My almost 2 hour app consists of just waiting on a Dr. to come in and talk for literally 3 mins. about nothing. He was rushing out of the room when I had more questions. He then told me to schedule another appointment so that he can address my concerns then.I had to take off work for the appointment. All of my concerns should have been addressed during this visit. Had I looked at the reviews first I would have bypassed this place. Lesson learned. Currently looking for a new doctor who is a doctor because they love showing compassion for children and not just the title for the money. Some of the receptionists are lazy and rude. This place is a no go.

Our visits with USA Pediatrics has been awesome. The ladies at the front desk got us in with no problems same day. The nurses and nurse practioners are helpful and very good with children. We even got a call a week later from nurse Alice because the nurse practioner wanted to check on my baby and make sure she was doing better! The ladies in the lab were just as kind.It is telling when a child is ready to go to their next doctors appointment. Keep up the great job USA!

If it wasn’t for Dr. Trammell I would give them a one star. She’s so amazing. She’s the only reason I keep dealing with the headache of USA. It’s hard to call to get an appointment. Have to talk to 3 different people before I get what I need. I use the app but I guess it doesn’t work yet. Idk *sign* -a tired momma

Last week on Wednesday my combo fed 3 month old started screaming anytime I offered him the breast to nurse, at first I thought it was the three month breast feeding crisis. It was Saturday when he tossed his head back and pushed away from the breast, I noticed the tell-tale whitish grey on the roof of his mouth.... Thrush. I called the after-hours line. It took two phone calls to get a returned call. When I spoke to the on call doctor I explained that I didn't want to wait till Monday to see if I could get in like she suggested to get him evaluated. I explained that breastfeeding has been rough for us since I have supply issues currently and that I didn't want to prolong treatment and risk the breastfeeding relationship. She expressed that I could take him to the emergency room to treat what I thought was thrush but I would have to come into the office to get breastfeeding help. I explained again that the breastfeeding is not an issue that I would be seeing the doctors at the emergency room about, it was about not delaying his care because it could jeopardize the breastfeeding relationship. She said again the ER can treat him but can't help with breastfeeding. This continued another 3 times. I know as a mom that has completely failed at breastfeeding in the past that giving a bottle for too many days in a row can make a baby not want the breast even if Mom has continued to pump to keep her supply. Why does "a pediatrician" who specializes in infants and young children, who treats countless breastfeed infants not know this? Breastfeeding is NOT just a natural thing that magically happens. It is WORK! there are subtleties that complicate it, and for a pediatrician to not understand at least the basics of that and act like it's no big deal to just bottle feed for upwards of a week and then just start breastfeeding again. Most of the time it doesn't work like that. Attitudes like this around breast feeding from doctors is what perpetuates the high expectations of Mom's to breast feed and the failure of it because they took the advice of a doctor that didn't bother to have a detailed conversation with a lactation consultant.

If you love your kids take them to a facility who actually know what they are doing and not just throwing meds at them

I have brought my kids here for probably a decade… I have always loved the experience until today. Brought my son in for a med check, one of his prescriptions was denied a refill with the pharmacy. The purpose of a med check is to discuss how the meds are working and at the moment, they aren’t. I was told that he was not taking one of the meds because it hasn’t been filled since January. Well, I am in mom mode, not business mode or doctor mode, so I explain that regardless of what any pharmacy says, he gets 1.5 of those pills every morning. Even had my mom on the phone confirming and trying to send pics of the bottles. Even then, it was still said that a med change or even filling the current prescription wouldn’t happen until CVS confirms he has gotten the meds. Frustrated, and my son is having a huge fit, I drag him out successfully after about 20 mins. I get home and the prescription is a 90… NINETY DAY quantity!! Which is why it hasn’t been filled since January. I’m not a doctor. I don’t send in orders. But I am a mom who is doing my very best with an autistic child! To have to defend, and continue to say “with all due respect” even though I am giving him his meds daily and he is clearly struggling is frustrating and heartbreaking. I deal with enough. We go to the people who are SUPPOSED to help us for HELP! Even if it was filled monthly, CVS can’t confirm if I physically give it to him. So again, I was there as I should have been for treatment. My daughter loves this office, but my son can’t decide for himself. After this, I hope they start listening to parents, parents who have been there for years. 135 pills at 1 1/2 dose a day is a 90 day QTY! Before a refill is denied, maybe call the pharmacy or the parent. God forbid a parent not get what their child needs because they don’t have a med degree… I would love to see the notes from today’s appointment stating that he hasn’t had meds since January. That could be damaging for any parent.
