The only reason they are getting a two is because the female Dr. was very kind and considerate. The front desk lady however, is terrible and rude. She should not be interfacing with people period. She was not only rude, but an incredibly non empathetic or compassionate. I had a 4 year old crying his eyes out and she couldn’t even be kind enough to treat either of us with common decency and acting like his crying was inconveniencing her. A 4 year old who’s sick and scared!! Based upon the several other comments as well, I would say this is definitely a reoccurring theme. I’ve been in management for years and her behavior would be unacceptable in any situation. The female Dr. with long hair was wonderful, too bad you have some rotten eggs up front.

Passing thru as a traveler and visited urgent care due to severe eczema. Staff was very accommodating, wait time reasonable at 1hour.
Given a steroid shot, prescribed oral steroids and antibiotic, here i am 5 days later almost entirely relieved of the eczema. Wonderful experience here at Urgent Care of Pismo Beach
(as I have been working with a dermatologist where I live for 5 months with no relief and $2000 of billing)

Very very bad triage system. Made an asthmatic wait because at the moment my O2 sat was fine. By the time I got to ER however it was lower but most importantly they listened to my lungs and the complaint of pain. Got treatment at ER asap with an immediate ECG (138bpm) and breathing treatment. When wheezing is audible and SOB obvious they should be a priority over others exhibiting no obvious symptoms. Was told it would be an hour wait! At least get someone educated with a stethoscope out there! Really unacceptable care.

The front staff are condescending and belittle you in front of everyone. The triage staff acted like they were doing you a favor. Not bedside manner at all. The doctor I saw twice talked over me, wouldn't listen and was condescending. When I asked ro speak to the manager about how other patients were talked to and treated, I was ignored.

Horrible. Choose any other urgent care. 2nd bad experience here. This time showed up with an hour until closing time and they wouldn’t take me. The reason receptionist gave me was that “we’ve been seeing patients all day” - well yeah, that’s your job when you work at an urgent care.

Called over there today from another UC to find out if they had x-ray working. (Dec 7 at 4 PM). The snotty receptionist said “well don’t send any of your Medi-Cal patients over here because we don’t take Medi-Cal.” I hadn’t inquired what types of insurance they accept, only if they had x-ray on site today. Her unsolicited, discriminatory comment was unappreciated and very unprofessional. Before I hung up, I let her know that it was a Patient with Blue Cross Blue Shield and she said snappily, “oh well, that’s OK then.”
I am familiar with this clinic and the wonderful providers that work there. But if your receptionist is turning people away before they even get a chance to come in the door, then it’s not gonna be great for this business.

I had a 2 o’clock appointment, there was only one other person in the waiting room, they put me in a room and forgot about me. I was waiting over an hour. When the doctor finally came to see me she did the bare minimum and sent me on my way.

I've been here several times and while it can sometimes be a bit of a wait, they usually are efficient. The staff and doctors are very caring and have followed up with me after visits when necessary.
