Brought my friend here who was passing a gallstone. She was in a lot of pain, couldn’t focus and was vomiting. The front desk didn’t show any compassion or urgency when checking her in. Took her sweet time when the printer ran out of labels. No acknowledgement for the condition my friend was in.
When we were called back, I wheeled my friend over in the wheelchair. There was a stool in the way and I wasn’t sure if we were both supposed to fit in the room or just stand in the doorway. The nurse didn’t communicate anything or notice to move the stool out of the way. She laughed at a little boy being funny behind us as she was taking my friends vitals. Again, NO compassion or focus on my friend who was visibly ill. It was very inconsiderate in my opinion.
When taken back to her exam room, she was put on pain meds and anti nausea meds. My friend had been seen previously at this location for the same issue about 3 months ago. We were told the staff looked at her chart, but no one seemed to look at her pain meds given previously and ask her if that worked for her.
In her previous visit, she was given morphine and it worked well.
In this visit, they just gave her dialudid, which didn’t do much for her pain.
When my friends sister brought this up to the doctor (that someone should’ve looked at her records before and asked about it before just administering pain meds) the doctor said she disagreed with her and if she wanted morphine she should’ve just asked for it. Right, because my friend writhing in pain is supposed to remember and keep track of these things. We only found out she had morphine before because a nurse had told us. The doctor was rude in her response and didn’t seem compassionate toward my friend either.
The ONLY saving grace was the charge nurse, Zach and the lady (Lori) that took my friend for her CT scan. They were friendly, communicative, compassionate and Zach was funny and helped lighten the mood. Especially for it being 2 am on 4th of July. Zach was so enjoyable to be around and answered all of our questions with no problem or pushback. Zach and Lori both told us separately that the CT scan would take a little longer because they had to submit it to a 3rd party company since it was after 11 pm. I appreciated that communication.
I made sure to tell Zach how much I appreciate him in the midst of such bad service.
I also had to go out to the desk after 30 mins had gone by and my friend had received no meds. When I asked about it, the nurse jumped up and said “oh yeah, I’ll be right there” as she has been sitting there chatting. THAT was frustrating.
I’ve always had good experiences at Unity Point walk in clinics, I figured this would translate to the ER. That was NOT the case.

I’ll be avoiding this place as much as possible in the future.

Well I'm not really sure why everybody else seems to be having a bad experience with you need to point health me personally and I've been there two times in the emergency room treated more than fair and considerate staff kept me informed and explained treatment. I also had surgery done there for a hernia it was the most outstanding surgical experience I've ever had staff was awesome doctors were awesome everything went like clockwork for me personally my experience with them is just really really good apparently other people have had other experiences but I on the other hand did not. Show a big thank you to them!

The most horrible, horrible experience I have every had in a health care setting. I was told if I wanted antibiotics for my diverticulitis I would have to wait until 60 other patients were triage. Our heath care system is broken and dangerous.

Do not got to this ER if you have an actual medical emergency. I could barely breathe when I showed up, had to be put in a wheel chair and waited 25 minutes to get screened. Was told I was going up for x-rays. An hour later, despite my labored breathing they still could not tell me when I was going back. There was a lady that arrived with shortness of breath, in an ambulance, and she was still sitting in the waiting room when I left. They have no sense of urgency, they are rude. Absolutely ridiculous. Go anywhere but they good awful place.

This is not my 1st bad experience here. My Wife called on the way in at 3:15am and was told there were 8 beds in use. We arrived 5 minutes later and were the only patients in the waiting room. Over the next 3 hours, 3 more patients arrived and one clearly NEEDED a room immediately and went into a room. However, during those 3 hours, I counted 9 patients leave, and we still did not go in for a room. At 6:15am we were called in for a room. At 7:15 the Doctor came in and acted as though we had no business being there. He was in the room for 3 minutes, prescribed a couple shots and left. We received our checkout paperwork at 8:15am....ABSOLUTELY ridiculous for an emergency room !!!!!! I let my Wife know that next time we would definitely go to Genesis ER, as they are much faster and more caring. The only reason we went to Trinity is because we had been there before so they had her history...STAY AWAY if you are in an emergency situation!!!

6 month pregnant with some virus, horrible vomiting all day and a fever, and I had to wait over 2 hours. This was after they checked us in, sent us up to L&D then back to the er to check in again. I was so fed up i walked out! Guess I'll get fluids in at home, if I can keep them down.

I went to the ER Tuesday night completely dehydrated not knowing if my kidneys were failing or if I was having a heart attack. Everyone in ER was awesome! The lady’s who took my blood were very awesome! They had to take it 8 times, plus an IV and all of them went well. Thank you so much for the great experience!

I will say even if am on my death bed do not take me here . My ER and hospitalization visit was the most interesting. I wish they were caring .I almost just walked out and went home despite being very ill. Sometimes is good to listen to the patient is the reason the hospital is in business. When we say we are in pain do not ignore. Our lives depend on you. A headache pain means many things . My meal was this below at the ER on a doctors chair coz the nurse could not find a tray
