We saw the reviews and were hesitant to schedule an appointment, but we did because they are conveniently located. So far we have been very impressed with the office, doctor, and staff. We weren’t able to make an appointment until later in the day, and that pushed getting labs results later in the day. The doctor called us at 11pm at night to let us know the results of the test results. I have never experienced or received extraordinary service like that from medical professionals. I am very happy that we chose UCHC.

It is unfortunate that our relationship with this office didn’t work out. When scheduling an initial appointment for my newborn the staff member on the phone was very sarcastic and rude. I should have taken this as a red flag but gave the benefit of doubt as everyone has their bad days. I filled out paperwork for my daughter 3 times (and it’s a ton of patient paperwork) only for her name to be misspelled and her address to be completely incorrect on file. I provided my insurance info multiple times only to still have problems with claims not being sent, incorrect or coded wrong. When calling to resolve these issues I left multiple voicemails with no returned calls. When I finally got a hold of billing I was faced with someone unwilling to explain why claims were not being paid and was repeatedly told “just call your insurance”. It wasn’t until I called patient advocate that I started getting professional staff to assist with my issues. My daughter’s last 2 visits my husband attended with me only for the provider to ask “have I met you” both times, when he has been bringing his daughter to see her for the past 6 years. We really wanted things to work out as it is the office closest to home but unfortunately we decided to end our care here.

It is impossible to contact the support staff for doctors here. Even after speaking with front desk staff and them taking a message, in addition to what I left on the vm, my calls were not returned. My concerns were blown off, and I was told by front desk staff to just take my child to the ER I’d I thought she needed it. The entire point of trying to speak with them was to avoid an ER trip; to get my little one seen/ on antibiotics before her condition worsens to that point. My child was hospitalized for a week and nearly died of a blood infection the last time they blew off my concerns. I wonder if it will take a child actually dying for them to reevaluate their staff.

I would highly advise all parents to stay away from this facility. First, the front staff are the most incompetent, intellectually challenged and disrespectful people I’ve experienced in the healthcare field. I work in business and can’t imagine after all of the complaints you receive about your staff refusing to answer a simple phone call for months straight, you keep these people employed. It goes to show the lack of respect you have for your patients and their children. You are fully aware of a major problem, yet don’t bother to address it.

My infant had diarrhea for 8 days straight along with an ear infection. The provider here neglected to tell me that a common side effect of the antibiotic they prescribed her was that it could turn her stools bright red the color of blood. We called the office for several hours from the time they opened before someone answered and left a high priority message. Well, no one ever called me back (very common for this office). My husband had to leave work early and drive there to actually speak with someone. The provider never even came out to speak with him, just told the receptionist to take her to the ER where the doctors were baffled they hadn’t told us this was a very common side effect.

Needless to say, if you value your time, your child’s well-being and would like a provider that is thorough/detail oriented, returns phone calls and answers the phone every couple of calls - do not come here.

The doctor is amazing but unfortunately it is nearly impossible to reach the front office staff to make appointments or reschedule. I have left message like I’m prompted to and I rarely if ever get call backs. When you have appointments schedule the wait time is extremely long. I’ve visited other United community clinics and this one seems to be the only one with these types of issues.

We like our doctor Bynum-Niel, she is great but unfortunately the clinic as a whole is poorly run it seems. Our infant son went to the emergency room for Bronchitis on Friday afternoon and returned home later that night. The hospital told us to call our clinic (UCHC on- call doctor) the next day to make sure everything is still fine. But the on-call doctor didn’t even bother to contact us by phone or return our calls. The third party mommy hotline relayed the message from her (the on-call) to schedule an appointment two days from now on Monday. I guess she couldn’t spare a few minutes on the phone to check on our son and assure his parents that he is fine. Im sure her weekend is more important. I would not recommend this clinic.
