The clinic is well staffed with courteous and gracious employees. The ARPN Ursula Crews was great. She takes her time and really listens to you when you speak. I found her to be insightful and very knowledgeable about medical topics and issues. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a primary care physician.

Unacceptable
The office staff refused to get their act together on what needed to be done to get authorization from my health insurance company, in time, in order for me to keep my appointment with the specialist I was referred to by this office.
Appointment was therefore canceled even after my insurance company Devoted Health, went out of their way to call several times to request proper authorization request forms needed.
Same thing happened in 2023 where my scheduled hip surgery had to be cancelled because this office couldn't send the required paperwork to the correct location.

I took my daughter for her first appointment with ARNP Ursula. She was kind, listened intently and was sympathetic. It was an excellent visit, couldn’t have asked for more. The two ladies we spoke to at check in and check out were very nice too.

Everyone I've been helped by here has been very sweet. It can be very busy and wait times can be a little long. My only complaint is they don't seem to treat a new mother any different to one that has had multiple kids and already knows how things go. I am a new mother and was very confused about everything I needed to do, and I was hoping to get straight-forward simple answers from these ladies. I didn't know of any testing I needed I was just told "get these done" with no additional information as to how, or where or what they even were. When my nurse told me I needed testing done and the way she said it to me, it sounded like I already knew what she was talking about, and I didn't have the slightest clue. It was as simple as telling me to go downstairs and get it done, as I had no idea they did testing on the first floor, and no one even told me. I had mentioned so many times that I am completely clueless to everything as this is my first child, yet after each appointment I was left still confused about most of the things I was told. I understand the medical field can be hectic, and busy, and this location has a lot of traffic, but I am terrified. And having a nurse there to explain to me how and what I need to do in normal people language instead of medical lingo would be so helpful to me and any new mother in the future that visits here. Sometimes It's difficult to ask the right questions to better understand what I'm being told, if I don't even understand what I'm being told to begin with.

I give five stars to Dr. O’Dowd specifically because she has given me ample time to express my concerns, was logical and thoughtful and empathic in her approach to helping me solve my health issues, and her follow up has been excellent. I found the UF Health system challenging at first because the systems are compartmentalized and centralized for greater efficiency given the number of patients they serve. But now that I have access to their online portal and I’ve got the phone numbers for the different types of offices, I’m finding it works well for me. Yes, my first appointments with Dr O’Dowd and other specialists took a couple of months, but after each initial visit, I forward-booked my next appointments, so no long wait in scheduling.

Waited 4 months to see a doctor here with a serious medical issue.. They had a problem verifying my Blue Cross insurance (which they learned was active after hesitantly getting on the phone) with the system they use, took 20 mins and sent me back to the waiting room after I rejected the idea of direct billing. Asked me to reschedule for a 6 month date.
If this can happen with Blue Cross insurance, do not waste your time with this place, especially if you don't feel good.

Also, they are not connected to the UF Health network and do not have your insurance/information/records on file.

The front staff have a lot of attitude to go with their uselessness. she scheduled me for an appointment slot that had already passed and claimed that I cancelled even though she lied to me and said she had no appointments available.

My husband had just lost his father and had to take off from work to take care of his mother who has dementia. My husband submitted FMLA forms on the 12th of September that needed to be turned in by the 2nd of October. My husband went up 5 times to try and get the forms not to mention the 4 times that I had to call to see if I can get better results. On September 30th I was practically begging for the forms so my husband wouldn't loose his job as we needed it by the 2nd. On the 1st when I called and asked if
driving back 3 hours over there to get the form would help and they said yes we wont fax it so... I can't understand why I had to wait to the very last minute causing
unnecessary stress. Is there even an office manager that works here? saying no would be believable , Ann was horrible!
