The care provided by the team at UCSF during my foot surgery in October was excellent. I had never had surgery before and was quite nervous but everyone was extremely friendly and informative as well as efficient. The paperwork and post-op reports were diligent and my mom appreciated the text alert updates while I was in surgery.

Dr. Hansen and his staff are great.respecaly Rachel.
But some things went VERY wrong!!
I was given sedation and don't remember being transferred to the
REST home. I should have stayed longer as I was VERY I'll with
Diarrhea and votinimg. I almost died within 48 hours of leaving and ENDED Up in a Second hospital for another WEEK.
I also must tell about the HORRIBLE way I was treated by a black woman DR. I'm sorry I wasn't given her name. I'm not being racist but that's all I know is call her.
Frist I'm the most liberal person ever.. SHe spoke Down to me like I was an animal. She said I should be GREAT FULL that I was THEIR.
And someone like me ( I'm openly gay) was allowed to be treated by UCSF. Fyi my TAX dollars help run your Hospital.and she was screaming at me. Granted I was in a lot of abdominal pain!! And crying
But it wasn't going as I thought. So finally I dought anyone will read this. But even though a lawyer wants me to sue.im not that way!!
In fact as my life is coming to an end. I now have congestive heart falier.i want to tell that Dr. I forgive her!!

Nothing I could do to make the staff I A year to live like I am a child is totally unacceptable. Even if the patient does something by mistake that is incorrect.. Iโ€™m a terminally ill patient Have approximately a year less to live. I promised myself on the onset of this that I would never let anything bother me and then, if it did that I would send a kind note I donโ€™t understand why they are insistent on you to eat, and then come in and try to take your pressure over the top of your meal, and then your meal is cold, because it already comes Semi cold. I was applied attendant for Delta Air Lines for 42 years until my liver transplant I had to retire. I have been at Parnassus in Mission Bay and I never had this issue ever at either place only here at Mount Zion. Iโ€™m on the fifth floor room 528. Cordially Tony Huff

Orthopedic surgeon Eric Hansen is the best. My wife had two hip replacements one year apart. Small anterior incision and texts to me as the surgery progressed. Then when it was over the surgeon called me. This time the wasnโ€™t as good with staff like the coordination with the anesthesiologist and the physical therapist was too demanding on the walking a few hours after surgery. This has resulted in extremely sore leg muscles and even oxycodone doesnโ€™t work. Hopefully it will subside soon.
The surgeon doesnโ€™t know this yet but it will be brought up on the first checkup. I doubt he will tolerate it. Many thanks to Eric for his professionalism and highly skilled work.
