If it wasn’t for her being my primary care physician provider I wouldn’t had no more hope or energy to get better. Thank you so much with eyes filled with tears and joy returning back to my heart.

I’m writing this while still waiting with my dad.
This morning at 8:30 AM, I brought my father to the UC Davis ER due to shortness of breath and persistent coughing. Upon check-in, we were told he was categorized as a Level 2 patient, which we understood meant high priority for treatment.

Despite that, we waited for hours. As of 12:00 PM, we still hadn’t been called. There were only two other people in the waiting area during that time. My father was extremely weak, and I had to push him in a wheelchair the entire time, even to and from the X-ray area. Not once did any staff member offer to help.

I also witnessed another deeply concerning situation. A woman who had been brought in by 911 was in a wheelchair and unable to move on her own. A doctor called her name from across the room but remained standing near his office, not making any effort to approach or assist her. Because she couldn’t push herself, she missed her name being called. When she asked a nurse passing by for help getting to the doctor, the nurse told her she had to assist another patient and walked away. I ended up pushing the woman closer to the doctor’s area myself.

I understand that hospitals get busy and there are patients in critical condition, but there is no excuse for this level of neglect and lack of compassion. My father was labeled high priority, yet we were left waiting for hours with no updates, no assistance, and no regard. When I asked the front desk staff to check if we missed a call, the person barely looked up and made no effort to help.

This was our first visit to UC Davis ER—and it will be our last. This message is for whoever is in charge. People come here in distress, and they deserve to be treated with care and dignity. Please train your staff to do better, not just medically but in basic human decency. Don’t just collect money from people and treat them like they don’t matter.

Worst place ever. Had surgery, they grabbed my most prized blanket given to me by my dead aunt. It is the only way I could sleep every night. They disposed of it as medical waste. I fell asleep from anesthesia and when I woke up it was gone. I can’t sleep. It’s the worst time of my life. I miss my blanket and auntie. I will never see my blanket again. I hate this place I hope it goes out of business 0 stars. I hate myself for letting this happen.

On Sunday January 12, 2025 my mom was sent over to UC Davis from Marshall Hospital due to an orbital fracture and a fractured nose . When I arrived all they had given her was Tylenol for the pain and barely slept due to them not giving her a pillow I asked for said pillow and they advised me that they were out .

Dr’s told me that in the Morning she would be admitted into a room and she would get an Echo scan of her heart .. that never happened . The room situation also never happened and we go wheeled into the hallway instead .

My mom was extremely upset and wanted to be let go and mind you we had already been waiting 14 hours and nothing happened. Nobody even came to check up on us one of the nurses that had nothing to do with her area was willing to help and I asked if there was anyway my mom can be let go because we were done waiting and we would rather get treated from San Jose And she disclosed that she would look into it as soon as possible. I tried talking to the trauma nurses from day and one of the nurses was extremely rude and close. The door on me told me that they were gonna tend to a new patient that was coming in and somebody would probably help me later.

Come to find out that patient was up getting a room away . I asked where the bathroom was because my mom needed to go to the graven. Nurse barely helped me. She pointed me to the direction of the restroom, but then after that we were on our own.

The doctor that came to see my mom before we left was adamant about letting us go home. I told her well we haven’t been. Talk to you at all and she tried to reassure us that it was gonna be fine that she would rather have her be there. I said well I cannot wait until you guys are ready to treat my mom my mom’s in pain. They had her on oxygen and they unplugged it just to place her in the walkway.

One doctor came to check out her hand because since she had gotten there, she was complaining about the pain on her left pinky and it turns out that she has a fracture and they wanted to keep her to put a cast on it but I said no thank you we’re just gonna head home She was not too happy about that.

Not to mention there is no up keep with the restrooms so Disgusting when I took my mom in there was feces on the floor.

The main restrooms inside the building near the cafeteria were also trashed and had OC covers pee all over the floor toilets were not flushed. Counters were so dirty. I did not want to even use the restroom, but I had no other choice since all of them were In the same condition.

If you can avoid this hospital, please do not sit foot in there they are rude. They are racist and they pick and choose on how they treat people.

I want to warn new mothers about this maternity ward. It’s just sickening how some nurses and doctor still have their jobs here. The amount of lying, retaliation, and medical malpractice in the maternity ward is absolutely insane. I nearly died and had to call my doctor saying I’m gonna die here. They said my pain in my chest was all in my head. 15 hours I could not breathe. They sent in social workers and even tried to take my child away when she came. I had a collapsed lung btw. Oh, did I mention they didn’t treat it either and I have permanent scar tissue, lung damage, and asthma now? Yep. They also forgot to give me a pillow and my insulin. When I mentioned this the nurse was pissed and retaliated. When my daughter was jaundiced and needed to have phototherapy she was crying non stop. They refused to let me hold her, they didn’t give her any breaks either. I had preeclampsia, a collapsed lung, emergency cesarean(thanks to my doctor who came to my rescue.), and the I asked if they could give me a break to rest because if I can’t do anything to help her can someone please come and give some time to rest as I clearly needed it. They called social services and said that I can’t handle a crying baby and my child needed to be taken away. I’m not kidding. Fast forward to my delivery at Sutter Hospial with my second daughter, absolutely opposite and incredible. They even offered to help with my second born because she too was jaundiced and they said some times babies don’t take well and they can take her for some time so I could rest. I started crying. And told her everything and she just held me and said it’s okay and they would never do something like that. So ya, stay away. Stay very far away if you can. Oh, I forgot to mention they didn’t bill my insurance correctly, and then within a month sent me to collection for $27,000. Yep you read that right. I walked into their billing office and showed her all the documents and incorrectly billing insurance cause it to be rejected and they said they were doing it over again, then suddenly sent me to collections with any notification to me. She said once it’s been sent there’s nothing they can do. Luckily, when I called collections I asked if they report to credit, they said no. I said close it I’m not paying a cent then. They did close btw. Thank god for that. I wish I had the money to sue when I this had happened to me. But I was a young mom. If you are a younger parent and I mean under 23, go to Kaiser or sutter. Just trust me on this one.

We went here for a routine type 1 diabetes appointment, they paraded a bunch of people through the room that introduced themselves, dietitian, social working and a few others. Then we get a bill for $1,000 that the insurance company won't pay because they were unnecessary. This kind of fraud shouldn't be legal. Don't go near them, we won't go their again.

This place is horrible, it’s a complete joke. Especially the emergency department. The staff are very rude to patients and your looking into waiting for roughly over 4 hours just to be seen for standard bloodwork before your even taken to the back.
My mother in law was transfer via ambulance due to a fainting (possible stroke) and fractured her face and even then already being in the back she waited 2.5 hours to be seen and told they wanted to repeat the blood work she had already gotten done at the previous hospital she was at.
Then she was told they would be keeping her overnight for observation and had to wait 4 additional hours for her to be admitted and transferred to a room where she was in for about another 4 hours before she got kicked out into the hallway because they where told “we have 60 patients ahead of you”. Am not sure what there issue is on why they can’t function in an organization and professional matter to treat there patients but they are horrible at it. They really need to reconsider their system
