Sent a loved one here and it was a totally waste of time and money!!! No one answers the phone not even to receive payments. Have tried for 3 months to get someone to call me so I can pay my bill. I can only get admissions and they take a message but still no one ever returns my calls. So frustrating! I just want to pay them off and forget about this horrible, unprofessional place. Did nothing for my loved ones mental health. We thought we were doing the right to seek help but thousands of dollars later, it proved to be a big mistake. Don't go here.

This is all based on my personal experience. This facility may be good for some people but not for me at all. I gave the facility 2 chances to help me. The first night I arrived I checked in for mental health and was extremely anxious but did it. Within minutes of my partner leaving I was forced to stay in my room due to a fight that has nothing to do with me. After the fight was cleaned up and the police had left I asked the head nurse to call my partner to just let him reassure me I would be ok. There are no therapists at night. They refused and said the only way to make a call was to leave. I was terrified after the fight due to past trauma. I chose to leave.
My mental health is so bad and the lack of choices caused me to give them another try the next day. My partner and I worked with my psychologist of almost 6 years to get all my records sent and sign the releases so the facility could work with him. I got there. All checked in. I was treated like a drug addict even though I was only there for mental health. I was put in a room with a true addict and spent most of the night crying and coloring by the nurse station. During the night the med nurse tried to make me take withdrawals medication even though I was there for mental health. At 8 am I met with the nurse practitioner and doctor via Telehealth. Neither knew anything about me and I was told by the doctor he wouldn’t work with mine. He prescribed 5 different medications without even reviewing my chart from my dr. I have tried many medications over the years. Some have caused horrible side effects. I couldn’t remember which ones but he wouldn’t even check the file to see what I’ve had before. If you are going for mental health don’t do it unless you want to become a junkie. Maybe it’s a great facility for addicts but it is not a good one for mental health.

I recently completed 30 day residential treatment on Jan 20th 2025. I’ve been in numerous recovery centers, in multiple states, continuously since September 2024. Let me just say, 12 Oaks is definitely one of the best! It’s actually organized and ran quite well. The staff genuinely act like they care…from the therapists and case managers to the kitchen and housekeeping crews! The techs Twyla and Ms. Tammy will forever have a special place in my heart. (They like to look tough lol, but they have genuine caring souls.)

Prospective clients … seriously, give this place a shot. It’s worth it! They offer yoga and meditation a couple days a week, also recreation therapy. You can walk on the beach and pier, play corn hole or basketball. After your 8th day you’re allowed to have your cell phone for one hour per day. Nightly peer lead AA/NA meetings. Bible study and they also take you to a wonderful nondenominational church every Sunday if you chose to go! This is the only place I’ve been that immediately starts working on your aftercare plans for housing and setting up aftercare MAT doctor appointments. They will also take you to the DMV to get your ID if needed.

I can’t recommend 12 Oaks enough. Remember, what you get out of recovery depends on what you put into it! Put in the work, participate in groups, and attend extra meetings! Follow the rules, be respectful and appreciative you’re even given this opportunity to change your life and work on healing yourself. & I promise you, your time in rehab will go a lot smoother.

Thanks again 12 Oaks!

The team at 12 Oaks did a great job for us. They were creative in working through a very complicated situation and provided great care to a close family member. We are very grateful to the team in Navarre.

Such an amazing, beautiful place! One of the few places left that allow patients to smoke and vape! I found myself again while being at twelve oaks and just wanna thank all the wonderful staff!! Miss KC the nurse, Steve, ms. Twyla, Dan the counselor, Jay to name a few. I love you all and actually feel homesick for 12 oaks already.

I made the mistake of inquiring about in patient treatment for mental health at this facility. I provided insurance information, which they immediately wrote back and said they did not take, because they don't accept Medicaid or Medicare. That was odd, because my insurance is a PPO through a private employer, and has no affiliation with any government sponsored healthcare. I asked if they were sure, and they spent the next week harassing me via email, text, and phone call. Insisting over and over that my insurance was Medicaid, but, they have private pay options, of course. I don't know if they're that hard up for money that they only want self-pay, or if they just ALL are incompetent, but if they are that horrible before you even are admitted, I can only imagine the poor quality of their treatment. Greedy, petty, detached and just plain incorrect, all around. I would advise avoiding at all cost.

Edit: I was texted AGAIN and received a reply for this review within a half hour of posting it. So clearly, they have an abundance of labor available, which could be utilized in a much more efficient manner by investing in a training program for insurance billing, and basic reading and communication skills. Also, I must disagree with the notion that they "understand", and assert that the statement is a desperate, ham-fisted attempt to once again, say that I am wrong, and get the last word, all while maintaining the guise of being "compassionate" or "professional". The request to reach out I find particularly bewildering, for several reasons, including the Herculean effort it takes for them for discontinue unwanted contact. While I do not fashion myself as a particularly intelligent individual, I can confidentiality say I posses the necessary logic and reasoning skills to discern what a poor decision that would be on my part. I have no desire to be further harangued by people who so fervently engage in the perpetuation of unequivically false accounts of reality. Further correspondence would be contradictory to my goal of achieving inner peace and sanity. The fact that these people are in charge of vulnerable individuals is troubling. It is obvious their lack of reading comprehension has resulted in a misunderstanding of the facility's goal of providing a therapeutic environment, instead, they provide experience of terrible, tiresome, tawdry, turbulent, twisted, tasteless, tedious, trifling treachery. TACKY.

Had a family member go there and before they would admit her they made me pay a lump sum. After insurance paid they owed me a refund but no one will answer the phone or return messages. On top of that, they told us they treated her condition but she had to leave early because they did not treat her condition, they are focused on addiction only . I would NOT recommend this place

My son just returned from Twelve Oaks after a month , He returned home in a highly agitated state , showing signed off paranoia, and after we drug tested him he showed positive for Cocaine which he said he used while in Twelve Oaks ..
Also while he was there we asked numerous times for an update from his counselor both on the phone and via e mail, we have yet to receive a reply..
We are truly disgusted with how this facility is managed and plan on taking further action
