A little slow but very detailed and thorough. We drive 1 1/2 hours to be here and are confident in our daughter's development and appreciate the staff.

Any concerns are taken very seriously and tests are taken before hand if a specialist needs them to save time.

I was once a patient of this practice, I left back in 2022, and am forever grateful I will never go back.

From what I’ve experienced, they do not care for patients.

They schedule appointments for you that you never once consent to, and often times find out about the day before. Is it a metric they need to hit? Or do they just like inconveniencing the patients? It’s not realistic to expect a person to drop everything for a last minute appointment. Not in this economy. I even got a call a year after I stopped going here saying I had an appointment.

Dr. Ochoa treated my mental health like a joke. I don’t know if she’s forgotten her medical training, or if she doesn’t care, but making a patient go cold turkey on their medication is extremely dangerous. Especially when it’s in regards to anxiety, depression, and insomnia. I had inquired about getting a refill on my insomnia medication, which also treated my anxiety, to which I was met with concern of me getting “addicted.” This was medication I had been prescribed this medication a long time before beginning to see her, by a psychiatrist. So, until I found a new doctor, I was without medication for my severe mental health issues that affected my day-to-day life. Thank you Dr. Ochoa!

I also have a severe phobia of needles. I refused a finger prick because of the use of a needle. I made this known, and yet they required me to get bloodwork done regardless. When I warned them, I get very upset and hysterical, they ignored the warnings and proceeded to get upset when I was crying. They told me to stop, as I would scare other patients. They laughed to themselves about how the procedure felt like nothing, essentially belittling and invalidating my fears. I felt so heard and understood!

I will never go back here. I often tell my friends who are looking for doctors to see, don’t come here if you value yourself.

I’m not a patient, but a billing manager at a specialist’s office, and I just had to share my experience. This morning, I called the Referrals Department and was truly impressed by the warm, professional, and welcoming greeting I received. Even after going through the automated system and clearly knowing which office I was calling, Dora answered the phone with: “Good morning, thank you for calling Tucson Clínica Médica Familiar. My name is Dora in the Referrals Department. Who do I have the pleasure of speaking with today?”

At the end of our conversation, she once again clearly stated the office name and who I had spoken with—such a refreshing touch! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called offices where the response is simply “Referrals” or “Referrals, can you please hold?” (without even waiting to see if you can hold).

I’m also pleased to mention that I spoke with Chris earlier today, and he was just as polite, professional, informative, and friendly. It’s clear to me that this level of customer service is a standard practice at Tucson Clínica Médica Familiar.

Dr Ochoa is an amazing pediatrician. She takes care of my kids as of they were her own! She goes above and beyond for them! She is available for me even after hours which is a plus . The front desk is very inviting & friendly. The clinic always helps me find an appt that works for me and my kids. I recommend this clinic!!

I moved my son here because my other doctors office was a bit to far from me but I think I would rather make the drive than wait here for so long. Dr Ochoa is great my only complain is the wait time. You can sometimes wait up to 2 hours just to get seen and u still wait more time once you’re in a room. Kids get restless and annoyed.
