True care should change their name to Terrible Care. My mother visits here for all her regular checkups. We had to admit my mother at Palomar Health because she noticed internal bleeding for a few days, which was worrisome. Palomar advised that she has endometrial polyp and that we should follow up with her primary to connect with an OBGYN. We called Terrible Care, they stated that the primary care would need her to visit in person and they can submit referral after the fact. So we had to go in to see a general doctor because they don’t have a primary care for her, apparently they have one primary care doctor that oversees all the PA’s or nurse practitioners. Anyhow, the doctor was a nice person but all he had to say was that she has endometrial polyp and that he will send a referral to an OBGYN. We already knew that she has this issue because of the ER reports, they could have saved us time and sent the referral without having to drag the patient for a waste of time visit.

The visit to this facility was in July. We called OBGYN to make an appointment. They set her appointment up for September 25. How could a facility take something so seriouslightly?

My poor mother’s condition continues to worsen. Her bleeding got worse over the last four days. It is as if she’s going through her menstrual cycle. We called terrible care again but they couldn’t get her in earlier. My mother had to visit the hospital ER and they advised her to follow up with her OBGYN, as soon as possible and if it worsens to come back to ER.

The next morning we called terrible care, the representative is extremely professional and attempted to talk to the department for women’s health. Unfortunately, they couldn’t squeeze her in for an appointment. We spoke with the nurse, they advised that she go back to emergency and ask for an OBGYN consult. My mother is a ping pong ball being sent from hospital to clinic and back to hospital. This is completely outrageous and unacceptable.

If you love your family and you want them to live a healthy and happy life please do yourself a favor and do not visit any Terrible Care facilities. You will only have poor health and experience. I would not send my worse enemies to this place nor would I allow them to manage the care of my pets.

I am sure the employees are over worked and the facilities don’t have the capacity to handle as many patients as they have garnered.

I am leaving this post today to save those of you that love your family time, stress and headaches from a terrible care. If you have been to this place and experienced similar issues please leave a like and I will relinquish my personal email to determine if this institution is completely incompetent to be called a healthcare facility.

I love True Care in San Marcos. All doctors and nurses are so professional and nice. The facility is always clean and welcoming, and I feel like I am in good hands whenever I visit. The staff takes the time to listen to my concerns and answer any questions I may have. I appreciate the level of care and attention to detail that True Care provides. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of medical assistance.

It is frustrating to work with this company. I was referred for some services here and scheduled an appointment with them that was set for only a few days after my initial call. I thought, "great, they are fitting me in right away!" Not so fast. They called 24 hours in advance of that appointment to cancel letting me know my referral didn't come across with the right codes. Fair enough, it came from UCSD so I could understand some wires getting crossed. I made many, many calls to rectify this situation, both to True Care and my referring physician's office. A lot of my time was spent on this. My next appointment was about a month later and I called a week in advance to triple check everything with the referral was satisfactory (they dropped that call, by the way, and didn't call back. This happened to me more than once). They called me yesterday to let me know that they were cancelling today's appointment because the referral didn't have the right codes. ARGH! I cannot express to you how much time and how many phone calls I spent on trying to get that squared away without wasting any more time on this company. This isn't even to mention how many calls I had to make to get a primary care appointment, a slightly less frustrating yet still not satisfactory experience. This exasperation prompted me to write this review. Avoid them if you can, that's my recommendation.

Update: Shortly after I wrote this, TrueCare texted me (after they cancelled my appointment) on the day of the would-be appointment...after it was scheduled to take place...confirming my appointment and asking I arrive early. As you can see, this was about 6 hours after appointment would have taken place if they hadn't cancelled on me. Were they toying with me? Idk, but this incompetence was vexing in the extreme. Insult to injury.

It started off as a truly perfect experience with everyone always being so nice and helpful. And although that stayed the same with all the personnel being awesome, I don’t know if it’s due to covid but the scheduling for in person visits is horrible. The texting to schedule an appointment doesn’t work well and sometimes not at all. I do love the staff who make this place so awesome to go to. The doctors always believe me when I tell them what’s wrong and everyone makes me feel at home.

I came here for pulsatile tinnitus and they said it was a severe ear infection that was causing it and i had gone to the adult true care and they didnt even find a severe ear infection but this location did they even scheduled a appointment a week after treatment for a follow up hopefully its good but i hope they dont ignore it 😒

I wanted to love true care, the facilities look so nice and clean. The staff has been friendly… unfortunately it takes forever to be seen, I was called the morning of an appointment id waited months for only to be told they didn’t have a doctor for womens healthcare that day. My husband had requested off to take me, it was a huge waste. When I got a message to reschedule I called twice and only got the voicemail & neither message was returned. My iron was extremely low and I was prescribed medication and after the first follow up, even though I was still dangerously low, no one ever followed up again for bloodwork. The mental health side is among the worst I’ve ever experienced. I have a referral for a therapist and when I had my first appointment they said they’d accidentally booked me for triage so the appointment was canceled and I was told the following week they’d call with a therapist for me. It has been 4 months, I have yet to see a therapist, women’s healthcare, or my iron follow up. To put it as clear as possible, having True Care health insurance is like having none at all.

Both times I have visited, PA Graf was exceptionally knowledgeable and professional, and I received excellent care. The staff were great, and there was no wait time when I went. I highly recommend PA Graf and the rest of the team!
