There are no zero stars. They got one star for at least getting us back into the room and seen in a timely manner. We waited for this appointment for many months, concerned with a possible dementia diagnosis, which requires empathy and delicacy to discuss with the family and they person being diagnosed. When we got to the office the condition was in disrepair, dirty bathrooms, hurried stuff. It felt extremely chaotic. They said the doctor left for the day and we were only left with seeing the NP. When the NP, Amanda, entered the room, we felt like we had done something wrong from the get-go. She was discourteous, quick, dismissive, and talked over us. My mom was in tears when she left. When you are dealing with such a delicate matter as dementia, there needs to be a high level of bedside manner to assure family members, and let them know that they have been seen because this is terrifying for all parties. Nobody wants to lose a family member let alone lose them to their own self because their mind can't remember. If these people are going to be in the neurology department, and I have rarely seen a neurological disorder that seems fun, then they are going to need to engage in their own therapy and compassion in order to adequately address the needs of their clients and patients.

If there was an option for zero stars I would put that. The staff has terrible bedside manners. At my first appointment the nurse weighing me turned her had to speak to another staff member as soon as I got onto the scale. When we got to the room she said, “how much did you weigh?” You have one job lady! The doctor and his assistant were speaking as if I wasn’t in the room, referring to notes on a clipboard that I couldn’t see. Trapani said I needed a TEE test and to come back in November and that I would be fine. 3 months goes by and they call to confirm my appointment. I said, what are we supposed to be doing at this appointment they said going over the TEE results. I said I thought I was to come back here for that. She said no you were supposed to get that done at a cardiologist office. I said why wouldn’t that have been clarified or referred at my appointment 3 months ago? I said I didn’t leave with any referral or paperwork. The woman on the phone said, “we wouldn’t have given you paperwork. So, what do you want to do now?” Instead of apologizing or seeing how to make it right since THREE MONTNS had been wasted. I said isn’t it odd that you’re calling me about an appointment to go over results that you DONT EVEN HAVE?! That appointment had to be cancelled obviously and I’ve never heard another thing from this office. My cardiologist and OBGYN need information from them and they do not answer their phones nor do they call you back. Do not use this office. You can find better. I promise you.

This place is HORRIFIC!!!!! They pick and choose when they want to refill your medication. And good luck reaching Trapani’s medical assistant. She’s a big fan of not returning calls and actually hanging up on people. They kept sending the wrong prescription in for me, even though I’ve been going there for 4 years and have never changed it. Therefore I had a break through seizure. WHILE PREGNANT and STILL couldn’t get a call back. If you have neurological issues i urge you to stay away from this office, they like to play God.

Do not see this guy!
The office is an overcrowded zoo. He rushed through my appointment, barely listening to me and prescribed meds without explaining how to take them.
I started calling the day of the appointment to get clarification about the meds and tests. They did not return my calls. After several calls, I did receive a message a WEEK later.
I should have known better after seeing all of the reviews!
Find a neurologist who takes time and thoroughly investigates your condition!
I ended up seeing a reputable neurologist in Orlando, who was very thorough and listened to me. Stay away from Trapani and his zoo!

Dr. Trapani's PA, Amanda, has made it impossible for me to see the Dr. For 3 yrs. She did it again today. I stopped her from interfering in my care and won't allow her to be involved in my care going forward

Absolutely horrible doctor, didn't listen, didn't actually know anything about my well documented condition, attempted to undiagnose it despite it being incurable and the office staff was by far very unprofessional. After I was denied the ability to have a follow up appointment after the testing he ordered, I had to demand my medical records to get the results. They also attempted to bill me for the follow up that they refused me. Ended up going to collections and I had to dispute it with the credit agencies to have it removed from my credit score, which it was after I supplied my documentation of the fraudulent charge from this office.

Do not go to this office. They will not call you, they will tell you they cant see you, they will see you in the hospital and not follow up. We have great health insurance and are contracted with this office and they have refused to see him for a follow up from a hospital. The neuro staff were so rude I asked the manager to speak to me like im a human. She continued to tell speak over me and would not listen to my plea. They have left a man whom they saw in the hospital with no where to go and a traumatic brain injury. He is having speech issues, brain issues and multiple other issues and they cancelled his appointment.
