I absolutely love Tia! The clinic is beautifully organized, clean, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. My lab results are always processed quickly, and their online system is both reliable and easy to use. One of my favorite aspects is the continuity of care—I had the pleasure of seeing the same provider, Julianne, for my annual check-up this year as I did last year. Julianne is incredibly warm and friendly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and the entire clinic to anyone seeking top-notch care.

I really appreciated the amount of time the medical team spent with me to understand and empathize with my concerns. The treatment plan was equally as educational - more than I have ever received from a doctor in my entire adult life. I hope that Tia keeps this high of a standard for women's health for many, many years to come!

I love Tia because they take their time to listen and talk to me. I don’t feel rushed or like an inconvenience. They make me feel comfortable to ask questions and take part in my health journey. Tia treats the whole version of me, not just parts. And their space is just beautiful, calm, and relaxing.

Pros: Erica for Acupuncture is AMAZING - she is so kind and warm. I had sessions with her for almost a year and it drastically made a positive impact on my life. My rating for her would be 5 starts. But, the billing department has ruined my entire Tia experience.

Negatives:
Like others, i enjoyed my experience at Tia but the billing is HORRIBLE. It was a complete run-around about billing. When i questioned the billing department, i was told it was reviewed every 6 MONTHS, but had been over 9+ months that I was racking up costs. It took 2 months for them to actually charge me for the invoice. at that point, i didn't have the energy to even review it.

I don’t recommend Tia for anything other than the most basic care needs. They don’t have any gynecologists at their SF location. They seem to have spent much more time decorating the office than actually changing anything about their care model. They have some gimmicky things that don’t actually improve experience (like making you wear a weird polyester robe instead of the usual paper cover - it feels way less hygienic and more awkward). They make it hard to cancel your membership (you can’t just cancel, you have to contact customer service and wait for a response). In my appointment, first a medical assistant took my history and then a nurse came in to see me. Some of the things I told the assistant were lost in this game of telephone.

Honestly, it's such a shame that I'm rating this low, considering everyone I saw in clinic were great. However, the billing department has been a total a nightmare and completely ruined this experience. I can't say how much time I've wasted trying to reach people to: negotiate insurance coverage, idk how many times I've cancelled my membership and while they continue to charge me, and how unresponsive the billing department has been throughout this whole process (both in their portal and over the phone). I first saw them in September, and it's been 5 months of back and forth with them to settle my bill and cancel my membership after all of this time.

They initially said they took my insurance, when in fact they don't. That in and of itself is a completely unacceptable as a medical provider to claim services will be covered - especially since the provider I saw was in-network.

Also, I had an ultrasound appointment and wasn't notified until I was on the way that it was cancelled since the tech had called in sick that morning (my appointment was in the afternoon, disrupted my work schedule and spent on an Uber).

Again, providers I saw were genuinely so great, but it's not worth dealing with their horrendous billing department.

I had enjoyed my time with Tia as they have excellent staff and a facility here in San Francisco. However after 2 1/2 years of using their services, I felt like there was a constant struggle with their billing department to code appointments correctly and process efficiently with my in network insurance company. Would not recommend my friends or family here as the billing department’s faults make the healthcare and wellbeing services that they offer more stressful and inaccessible.

Edit 10/28: They told me to reach out in a comment below and I still have not received a response. DO NOT USE TIA

Wow I just had an amazing experience at the Tia clinic. I was pretty apprehensive, given the amount of negative reviews from other members, but so far I'm really impressed by the service, staff, and clinic.

The amount of thought put into designing the clinic interior really made an impact on my visit experience. I felt comfortable, at ease, and the care providers were lovely people. I wish I switched to Tia sooner.
