I am beyond happy with our experience at Saddleback. Suite was amazing and we never had to switch after Delivery. We did alot of research and made the right choice. Beautiful suites. Wonderful staff. Dr.May worked hand in hand with my OB to care for me. Every Nurse was so caring and helpful. Thank you especially to them to make every day and night easier for me. They had room service to feed us. But it was defiantly the love and care of the nurses that made this better for us. First child and some health issues. It could have been scarier but I was able to trust them. Thank you so much Dawn, Morgan, Cassie, Maddie, Pam and Kelley. I will forever be grateful.

I had the privilege of delivering my 2 children at Saddleback Medical Center and it was an amazing experience. The amenities, staff and facility were impressive. My baby and I received the best care and I would wholeheartedly recommend delivering at Saddleback.

The nurses were awesome. They offered a tour which was great for first time parents. The upstairs rooms had excepting we needed. The food was good for a hospital. We felt very safe with the "low Jack" on our
Daughter's ankle. Being able to call out nurse from the room at any time was a huge bonus. Parking isn't the best but they do accommodate parking for people in labor.

I came in when my baby was crowning on accident because I wasn’t going to make it to the hospital I was registered at. Thank goodness I did. We had called on the way and nurses were waiting outside with a wheelchair for me and rushed me up where it felt like 20 nurses and an Obgyn were ready and waiting for me. If it’s an emergency or a crisis, this team is ready. Not to mention my entire stay was comfortable and the staff were all amazing. The nicu was also a pleasant experience under unpleasant circumstances. They went above and beyond and were so hospitable to us parents. I had zero complaints about the first hospital I delivered at with my oldest but was shocked to find that this stay was above and beyond my first labor and delivery stay at a different hospital. I will be coming here from now on for all future babies

I had a scheduled c-section at the very end of August. My experience was night and day compared to my first delivery at a different hospital. My experience was amazing. They started us in a labor and delivery room and those rooms are amazing. They are beautiful and would be something I would hope for in any birth. My doctor was fantastic and I cannot stress enough how supportive my nurses where. My anaesthesiologist was a literal godsend. My first experience was very traumatic and I let my team know and they did everything they could so I wouldn't experience that a a second time. They did move us to a much smaller room that is nothing compared to the delivery rooms. But it's a hospital and we where out in 2 days. The food was great for a hospital and they have room service. Extremely great full for this hospital and all of the staff.

I delivered my third here. The staff was great and attentive. They talked with you and got to know more about you than just medical information. They listened to and honored my requests and decisions. The delivery room was nice and spacious! The food was not bad for hospital food. Having the ability to order room service was also a plus! (Room service was not available where I delivered my second.)

The recovery room was very small. I also did not like how the hospital tried to get payment three weeks before my baby was born. The email they sent out was purposefully intimidating. They also came into the recovery to try and receive payment as well. This was all based on an estimation and was nowhere near accurate. When we finally received our bill after it went through insurance, the hospital's estimate was $6,000 plus higher than what our actual bill was. Gladly we did not pay until AFTER everything went through insurance. Do not feel obligated to pay before!

My wife and I just had our first here. It wasn’t exactly as planned as we needed to go to a c section. The staff tried to give time to allow labor to progress but for the safety of the child we all aligned on c section. We spent two days upstairs and two days recovering in a room downstairs.

The staff was super attentive, understanding, warm and personal. The one on one nurse to patient assignment felt unusual but we welcomed it! We toured a few other hospitals and this staff gave us the most welcoming feeling. I would also recommend searching Reddit to see others feedback, there are a few OC delivery threads. Weird suggestion I know, but our experience aligned with a lot of comments there.

Not sure we’ll have another but if we do it’ll be here.

Pros:
-Attentive, responsive, warm, personable nursing staff
-Doctors were awesome (sounds like we got even more lucky with an all star legend team)
-Lvl3 NICU close
-Brunch is not bad for hospital food
-Can do everything in the same room
-room service on demand (entrees were good)

Cons:
-Possible to move downstairs for recovery depending on how busy they are
-View is of i5
-some items to avoid on the basic room service menu (mashed potatoes are powder based haha)

**EDIT - we just got a card in the mail signed by all the nurses on staff that watched us. This is not how I expect a hospital to be it was so welcoming, warm and homey <3
