I moved my mother from another facility to the Collier due to the sales person that sold me on the Collier. The experience was very mediocre. I Liked all of the staff that actually assisted my mother, but the management staff was very unhelpful. After my mother passed away, I tried to get all of her belongings and am missing many items. I am missing a suitcase that was full for her as an emergency suitcase, a table that was in her room, another bedside table that was in her room, a step stool that was in her room, a digital clock that was in her room , and I’m sure there’s more. I went to the Collier today as I had been told that these items were in storage. When I got there, they told me that the maintenance manager had left for the day and they couldn’t help me when they finally called the maintenance manager, who left early, he said he had nothing in storage. I’m very disappointed in the way they have handled my mother’s passing since they were charging me $6000 a month for my mother to live there. My mother thank goodness died in hospice care instead of at the Collier. I’ve already received a sympathy note from Avow and I barely get a phone call or a return call from the Collier when I call them. Not happy!

I took my father out of here for several reasons. I found him undressed in the hall, sitting in his own waste on Veterans Day 2023, of which he was supposed to be a part of. Because he was in the Memory Care part, locked away from the rest, he was late to the festivities. On another visit, I saw the Director combing his hair right after she combed someone else's hair....horrible. Most importantly, he was covered with bruises from the staff grabbing him, and he had had four falls that resulted in an ambulance ride that year. In all three visits, he had a saturated diaper on that was falling off to his knees. My most disturbing discovery was when the activities director and another staff member were 2 witnesses to an updated POA that gave his sister the right to sell his condo in Naples with ALL of his belongings. I would say this is a huge liability. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES!!

I looked at several facilities in Naples. The Collier had 3 levels of care to meet present and future needs for my wife. In three plus years she has moved from Assisted Living into Memory Care.
There are always adjustments to make, for caregiver and resident.
There were some tough times, but the staff has ALWAYs be caring and attentive

I’ve been visiting my sister for the last 2 months from out of state. I had requested many things, one being a transfer to another room. Tracy was instrumental in making this happen, quickly, safely, and insured that this was all done in a timely manner. Bringing immense joy and happiness to my sister, and the rest of the family! Along with many of the other staff Therapists, aids, doctors, and all other personnel were friendly and cooperative in every request I’ve made. And my sister has also indicated the same. Thank you all again for making two sisters so happy !

I have been working with he staff at the Collier at Naples for over a month and I can not say enough about them! Scott and Richard are absolutely amazing! My mother has been there for a few weeks now and I can honestly say that I am sleeping better at night knowing that she is in great hands. I highly recommend this facility and the staff again, Scott and Richard, have gone above and beyond to make my mother comfortable and safe!

My name is Scott Kingsbury and I am an entertainer at The Collier. I think I have a unique view of life at the
Collier. I’ve been playing music there on & off for over two years. I see many happy residents there, well cared for and even doted over by staff. In personal conversations people have shared with me that they enjoy living there, the mood is positive, many activities planned, and stimulating fun events.
The new Activities Director, Jessica is a high-energy, fun loving and from what I see is fully committed to insuring the residents happiness. While I may be 15 yrs away from needing a place like
Collier, this place would be my choice. You should stop by Friday Happy Hour 4-5 if you want to see residents in action, singing, dancing and chatting away. Happy engaged people. Good Luck. Scott Kingsbury “The King Show”

My 93/94yo parents moved into The Collier at Naples this summer during the COVID-19 pandemic after their independent quality of life in Lely Resort diminished from the impacts of isolation on their social, mental, and physical health activities. We didn’t have a lot of time to find a place that would work out well for both of them (Mom has early memory issues, Dad has mobility issues), but when we found The Collier we knew we had found the right place. The staff at The Collier has been nothing short of amazing. Scott, Sharon, Donna, and several others made this difficult transition (for us and, initially, our parents) comfortable during this unprecedented time in history. Like so many families, having to make these kinds of decisions in less than ideal circumstances has been trying, and we are so fortunate that we landed with The Collier. The staff has been so communicative with us (three siblings who don’t always agree) and has helped us through a challenging time in our own family’s time. The care my parents receive, the quality of the facility, the good food, and the kindness of staff is all top notch. My dad’s health was beginning to fail living in their own house this spring, and he has gotten much better with the care at The Collier. And, we have assurances from the relatively new property owner (less than a year) that upgrades of all kinds are on their way. We talk to our parents regularly (from states other than Fla.) and they are chipper and upbeat five months into their stay. We cannot speak highly enough of our experience with the staff at The Collier. They have been a real godsend to us.

I have witnessed the concern and care that Traci Wood has for her seniors at the Collier. She treats them as if they were her family, which is exactly what we were looking for! Keep up the awesome work!
