I was initially concerned after reading some negative reviews, but The Chateau at Lake La Quinta turned out to be an absolute delight! The property is quaint and full of charm, with a peaceful lakeside setting that made for a wonderfully relaxing stay.

While some of the furnishings are a bit dated, everything was well-maintained and very clean. The highlight for us was enjoying the serene lake views from our patio, especially in the evening with the fireplace on—such a cozy and memorable experience!

The staff, both at the front desk and in the restaurant, were fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We truly felt taken care of throughout our stay.

If you’re on the fence about booking, don’t hesitate! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.

We booked the Bungalow Suite at the Chateau at Lake La Quinta over 6 months in advance for our wedding night, specifically choosing it for its privacy, amenities, and view. We were so excited and looking forward to a special and memorable stay after our wedding celebrations. There are two bungalows so we actually came personally to the hotel a couple months ahead of time to select exactly which room we wanted.

However, upon arrival (ON OUR WEDDING NIGHT) we were met with the shocking news that our reserved Bungalow Suite had been double-booked! To say we were devastated is an understatement. This was our wedding night, something we had carefully planned and looked forward to, and the hotel completely dropped the ball. While the staff apologized, the alternative room couldn't compare to the privacy of the bungalow suite.

The fact that a reservation made months in advance, especially for such a significant occasion, could be so carelessly mishandled is beyond disappointing. It demonstrates a severe lack of organization and attention to detail on the hotel's part. This error significantly impacted our wedding night experience and caused unnecessary stress and upset.

We strongly advise anyone considering booking this hotel, especially for a special occasion, to be extremely cautious. Their inability to honor a confirmed reservation, particularly for a premium suite booked well in advance, is simply unacceptable. Our wedding night, which should have been filled with joy and relaxation, was instead marred by the hotel's incompetence. We will certainly not be returning and will be sharing our experience widely.

I came here with my boyfriend on a Tuesday. We booked through Booking.com and they got the days wrong so they weren’t expecting us. Since it was a Tuesday the room we booked was available which was the 450.00 a night plus tax bungalow #2. It was on the lake which was beautiful. There were families of ducks which were quite charming. It took us a long while to check in since they weren’t expecting us and they had ample time to have housekeeping take a Quick Look at the state of the room before we entered. The twin bathroom sinks both had many dead fleas in the sinks. There were nails or screws coming out of the wall that maybe had a picture hung there at some point. The furniture outdoors (not of our bungalow but the seating to sit on to gaze at the lake next to our bungalow) was leafy and dirty. Didn’t look like it had been attended to for quite awhile so we didn’t want to sit on them. Ths place does not pay attention to detail. It seems the sheets were clean but with everything else being overlooked I have my reservations if they really were. Overall, I would not stay here again.

I’ll admit, I was a little hesitant about booking The Chateau at Lake La Quinta after reading some mixed reviews, but I’m so glad we decided to give it a chance! This charming boutique hotel completely exceeded our expectations.||Yes, some of the furnishings are a bit dated, but everything was in great condition and, most importantly, very clean. The property itself is absolutely adorable—quaint, cozy, and full of character. The real highlight for us was the stunning lake views. Sitting on our patio by the fireplace in the evening was pure magic!||The staff was another standout. Both the front desk and restaurant teams were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable.||If you’re looking for a unique and relaxing getaway, I highly recommend The Chateau. We’re already planning our next visit!

I had a very disappointing experience when it came to the hotel’s room service and overall support. During an entire week-long conference stay, the WiFi in the rooms didn’t work at all, which was incredibly frustrating given the importance of staying connected for work. Despite multiple complaints, and even after we clearly explained what the issue seemed to be, the staff made promises to resolve it—but nothing was ever fixed. It felt like we were completely ignored, and the reception staff came across as unprofessional and quite incompetent when handling the situation.

On a much more positive note, the restaurant experience was excellent. The staff there were friendly, attentive, and genuinely service-minded. The food was outstanding, and the view from the restaurant added a really special touch to our evenings.

Overall, the hotel needs serious improvement in basic guest services, especially in areas essential for business travelers. However, the restaurant was the saving grace of the stay.

This is a very overpriced place that is trying to be an upscale boutique hotel. Our room was as good as any Best Western we've stayed in at twice the price. Their breakfast is a joke. It's nothing to begin with and by 9 am it's all gone. We went out for a real breakfast both nights we stayed. The staff is almost non-existent. We typically waited for many minutes at the front desk for someone to show up. On top of this, they added a non-refundable $30/night "resort charge" and a refundable $50/night "amenities" charge when we checked in. WTF!

This place could be nice under different management and lower prices, but until then save your money and stay at Best Western or even Motel 6.

Pretty unique place I suppose. Very cute. I went to the pool/hot tub. Pool dirty and not inviting, used the hot tub: only about 85 degrees. What a bummer the dirty pool was probably the same temperature but with more room šŸ˜’ā€¦ I wasn’t going to even leave a review but honestly I felt compelled to after I came back on day 3 of 5 and the housekeepers left more door open!!! I walked up although not completely open it was definitely noticeable, unprofessional and super discouraging. Only silver lining is nothing was stolen from the room including my new-ish Mac-book pro sitting on the desk 😬. Also breakfast and coffee service isn’t great. I missed eggs and bacon šŸ˜’

Beautiful location, gorgeous room, stunning grounds. Comfortable bed and just a delightful place. No restaurant or food/beverage service on Mondays and Tuesdays and really be advised that the breakfast does NOT equate to even a ā€œcontinental breakfastā€. There is no granola, no yoghurt, not even bananas or a water fountain. Its sliced breads and melon. You will leave hungry and will have to time in breakfast elsewhere on your way out of town.
