I’ve lived in this area for over 10 years and, unfortunately, have been assigned to Dr. Goodchild during 7 separate ER visits at Tampa General Hospital Spring Hill. On every single occasion, he dismissed my concerns and symptoms without proper evaluation and defaulted to diagnosing me with Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) — regardless of what the labs, scans, or my actual condition indicated.

I went for a second medical opinion 4 hours after I left the hospital, where I was diagnosed with gastroenteritis. Two days later, my husband was vomiting and throwing up. He doesn't take anything related to cannabis.

This was not based on science, but on what seems like a personal bias against medical cannabis patients. He never took the time to thoroughly review my test results, ask detailed questions, or consider alternate diagnoses. In fact, other physicians later identified different medical issues that required treatment — issues that Dr. Goodchild ignored or wrote off as cannabis-related.

What’s most upsetting is the pattern: I wasn’t treated as a patient with valid health concerns — I was treated as a stereotype. If you're a medical cannabis user, be aware that you might not receive fair or objective care from this doctor.

Patients deserve unbiased, evidence-based care. If you’ve experienced something similar, I encourage you to file a formal complaint.

My wife had to go there for a procedure under anesthesia and I was favorably impressed with the hospital. Very pleasant and helpful staff from the greeters at the front dest to the nurses in the pre-op and recovery. Very professional but also friendly. Very clean and.brightly lit. The handicapped parking areas in the circular drive were very handy.

My Mom went to a nearby walk in clinic not feeling well for about three weeks. They said her heartbeat was irregular and to get to an ER. That is how she ended up at this hospital's ER. Everyone was very professional and friendly and they took terrific care of my Mom. She was in AFIB and had pneumonia. She had to stay five nights and she is now completely back to her old self. I completely appreciate everything they did for my Mom.

Been waiting to see a doctor in the ER, no doctors in sight. Girl comes over and says she’s nurse practitioner. Told her issue and she looks completely lost. This place is a huge waste of time. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GO TO BayCare or Advent hospital.

This place hired a bunch of kids as nurses straight out of nursing school and they are just walking around doing nothing.

I went in for an MRI on my abdomen at the request of my family doctor 10/14/24, and to my surprise, they did a thorough check on my health. They discovered that I had appendicitis and needed to be admitted quickly. Thankfully, I received prompt treatment and I'm happy to say that I'm alive, well, and on the road to recovery now. The staff here were incredibly professional and kind, which really changed my perspective. I used to think that staff at general hospitals might not enjoy their jobs and that I wouldn’t feel valued as just another patient, but that definitely wasn’t the case here. The charge nurse even accompanied me downstairs to make sure I safely got into my car to go home 10/16/24 11am !

One of the best hospital that I been to. They are so nice, patient and caring. They will inform you what is going on.
The surgery went very well. I really appreciate them with all my heart. This is the hospital to go to for now on

I was seen in the emergency room on November 19,2024 and one of the nurses that cared for me I really liked. Devin was very pleasant and took excellent care of me. If all nurses were as caring as him in hospitals it would be super amazing.. I hope he gets acknowledged at work for his pleasant self. Otherwise he is being acknowledged by me 🙂

If I could give zero stars I would!!
My elderly mother fell at home, she was rushed in by my oldest sibling to your ER. She had X-rays done (poorly I might add. PCP ordered an MRI and found out her arm was fractured!!) and said nothing was broken. She was also told she was having kidney issues and that they would give her IV and more tests overnight during observation. They did not give her IV fluids nor does she recall them doing much or any tests that night. She was sent home the next day after they concluded she was not concussed.

When my sibling told me she was at a Tampa General Hospital I was ecstatic considering their main location’s history of excellent care. However, the Spring Hill satellite is worse than Coakhill Hospital and is prolly worse off now than when it was 10 years ago!

ZERO STARS. save yourself the headache and head to another hospital!!!
