i was admitted in hopes of getting better a few years back and i was more miserable then ever. I was treated like a prisoner by the nurses and they were incredibly demeaning. they threatened to tranquillize anyone over things i was appalled at. (not preforming an activity etc) we were shut into our rooms with nothing to do, no enrichment besides starting at plastic furniture and white walls. the windows had writing on it that said “help me” and “get me out.” i told them i did not want to take medicine and they prescribed me pills without names every day. the food was awful and it was the longest week of my life.

My fiance saw Dr. Allen for outpatient and he's absolutely wonderful! The staff in the front office are great too! It's the nurses that suck. They have absolutely no bedside manner. They speak to you like you're an inconvenience, get snippy and rude on a dime even when not provoked. They are just rude as hell and not fit to be in this field and dealing with people with fragile mental health. 0/5 for the outpatient nurses, but 5/5 for the doctor himself.

Definitely better than what I expected as my first time being hospitalized. Staff was super sweet and the food was really good. I enjoyed the therapies they provided and all the other patients were nice to talk too. Only complaint is that I wish there were more activities to do and that the walls and shelves had a few stains on them, but other than that, I really enjoyed my recovery here.

The first time I was here was in 2019. They made me feel safe and welcomed. The therapists are amazing and the social workers are some of the best I’ve ever met. I just got released yesterday (11/9) and it was my second time there. Edward, my social worker, was AMAZING. He was so jolly and happy and always had a smile on his face. He definitely made me feel safe and I knew was always listening very intently to what I had to say. Dr Mamin was also great and he knew I was doing better so I only stayed a couple of days this time. Glenn from security at the observation place at the actual ER, was so helpful. I was starving and none of the other security guards offered me food at the ER, but Glenn got me crackers and Gatorade. He also got a nurse to put some ointment on my cuts (which is why I was going to the BHC in the first place). The staff at the BHC is amazing. Everyone is so kind and respectful, they don’t make you feel out of place or anything. No cussing is allowed at the place, but I got in trouble for cussing a couple times, so I apologized for using that kind of language, as I didn’t realize it made another patient upset. I didn’t get in “trouble”, they were just making me aware that it is triggering for some of the other patients. They’re super understanding there and the food is pretty good. Get the corn dogs! They taste like the ones at the fair! Overall, this place has helped me twice now. I’m hoping I don’t go back anytime soon and that I can work on finding safe and healthy outlets when I’m overwhelmed with anger or depression. Devyn, the art therapist, and Megan, the music therapist, were so kind and helpful! They definitely made it fun to be there!

My experience here was great considering the situation. Staff was friendly, they feed you VERY well, and I met some really good people that genuinely care. They helped me through my issues and gave me the tools I need to take care of myself and live a happy life. Thank you

Absolutely awful. For one this office, Doctor Allen, to be exact, put me on something called Seroquel without telling me it caused mental & physical dependency. After this office wrote me a 10 day and 30 day supply 2 months in a row, they suddenly decided to no longer prescribe it as needed - of course now that I am dependent on it. I was given ZERO warning that their office refilling the prescription was going to become an issue. Despite calling several times, leaving multiple messages, physically going to the office and explaining the emergency situation I am in - including talking to their director, I got NO HELP! Seroquel is not a medication of abuse. Their office put me on it then suddenly decided not to refill my prescription. Not to mention, avoided my calls.

I rarely leave reviews, even in cases I am very unhappy with a business. But this is playing msg with people lives and it is criminal!

Absolutely the worst. My fiance was placed here for rehabilitation for a broken leg. After just 2 nights she's in more pain than before. Constantly lied to about medication. Skeleton staff don't even check in. Medicine schedule was to be every 4 hours. Wells as of this review it's been 8 and a half hours since anything was given. Poor service. Poor quality. Would never ever recommend sending a loved one here. BEWARE!!!!

The staff here is excellent, nurses, care assistants, and therapists. My Mom was admitted for a fall with a broken arm and neck. It might not be fancy, but we felt like the care for the patient was top notch. Special thanks to Nurse Rey, Therapists Sue, Nikki, and Lorrie. Can't list everyone, but ALL the staff was great. Thank you for your care.
