The care was quite basic and definitely aimed at ending my father's life as soon as possible. Also, the supplies were poor quality and there was no option to use anything better. There was a very strong inference to stopping all of his regular medications while using the medications provided that would have quickly sedated him into unconsciousness - I refused. They also strongly opposed any effort to ensure his continued nutrition through the use of a feeding tube that my father had previously stated in writing he wanted. I give 3 stars because the staff was helpful, nice and compassionate. Although they were compelled to follow the company policies, I appreciate them doing the best they could. I ultimately decided to change to a smaller hospice that would work with my father's wishes. Now he has much better care and supplies, music therapy, massages, therapy dog sessions, and regular doctor, social worker, and chaplain visits. I'm very glad that I made the switch. My dad is doing well.
