Good visit this time. In the past it was not a good experience. Thankfully this time it was good. Nurses and doctors were very nice and helpful. The room was beautiful. Huge and completely handicap accessible. The meals were different than most hospitals. They make a certain meal for breakfast. Lunch and dinner. Everyone gets that meal. Eventually someone may bring you a menu to call and request different items but you are required to call to request this food prior to the cafeteria staff being open. So basically you cannot change it and have to accept what’s given. Other than the food issue I was very impressed with my care and concern showed by staff and doctors.

I came in crying of pain due to a really bad herniated disc and pinched nerves that I’ve been in treatment for with pain doctors for a year. The first thing they did was give me a round morphine and ignored me for an hour and when I asked for an MRI they said that I basically have to be paralyzed to receive one this time if night. After a little bit I told them I was still in pain and they said they were already doing my discharge paperwork and they sent me home. I went home with a $700 deductible and had to call an ambulance due to the pain. I am now at Banner Thunderbird where they did my MRI and am currently awaiting spinal surgery. I was in so much pain I wanted to die and these doctors, receptionists and nurses at this Westgate “ER” totally didn’t care about my condition and wanted me gone. Thank god I went to Thunderbird where they are taking great care of me. Avoid at all costs

It was easy to give the emergency room staff five Stars because they were very nice and considerate as from 15 minutes and they were precise and medically oriented to answer once questions and do everything possible to make you comfortable and in control of the situation, you were the boss. If you knew what you wanted to ask for they would Supply it to you immediately. I was so impressed with them that I resolved to always ask for them if I had an emergency pickup at my home. The people that help me were the Vincent PA, Haley RN Lavon
PA and of course every one in the background that made things go smoothly. Here I am at home on the same day, feeling great and restored.

The past 4 days and Alyssa in the ER was trying to tell me it was normal. It’s not normal when something has been hurting for 4 days. All the manager of the ER did was just look at me. Never again will I come back.

Matthew Churitch is a recent grad from NY to AZ and it shows. I will be looking into an attorney for the "care" I received on 08.31.24. Not only was I mistreated and misdiagnosed after begging for water and proper care but I was dismissed told I had a UTI and sent home.

The nurse pushed me down in my bed and squeezed my finger as she deemed me "difficult". I kept asking for proper care.

Update- I've had a tampon lodged inside me since at least August 30th that I can vaguely recall. I found it on 09.23.24. I am still recovering and have so many test that still need to take place as my health is not 100%.

This hospital is a joke and no one should be submitted to this type of "Healthcare".

I am currently a patient in this hospital. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone and everyone I care about. The care I have received has surpassed any expectations and any precious hospital encounters elsewhere. I have an entire list of names from the people in the ER to the nurses on the floor, the radiologists and the kitchen staff ❤️a shout out to Kuzami, Jaime,Dr Kabosh, Dr Omhar ? ,Sheila in imaging , Margie in imaging, my nurse Sossy, my nurse Amy, my cna Sam Iris and Rosie in the kitchen and my nurse Marlo Top notch facility care and people ❤️?❤️?thank you !!!!

I went to this ER on June 28, 2024 because I had what I thought was a severely infected wound on the back of my lower left leg from a Lymphedema lesion. The Dr on duty, Donald J Lauer, did absolutely NOTHING, besides unwrap the bandage from around my leg and let all the fluid out. Then he left the room! About a half hour later he sent a male nurse in to wrap it back up, that’s it! Another 10 minutes or so that nurse came back in and said I could go home! Again, That’s It! No lab work, no nothing! The next night I ended up in Banner Boswell Hospital for 5 Days!! Fever over 102, Heart Rate 145, BP very high, White blood count 1700, Cellulitis in my leg, Sepsis, Potassium level critically low as well as Magnesium.
I will Never step foot in that hospital again, nor will I ever refer anyone to that hospital!! Period!!! Stay away from this hospital!

UPDATE-
Back again about 7 days later due to complications from my miscarriage and I wish I knew there names staff was absolutely outstanding I can't tell you guys thankyou enough 3 diff occasions in less then 2 weeks and every single occasion was cared for in such a caring way they were all so supportive and were so sweet respectful way beyond professional so thankyou again for another sad traumatic experience for me but you guys helped me through it! I will never go to another hospital unless I have too but this one thankyou from the bottom of my heart for all your staff you guys were outstanding doctors nurses triage front desk y'all really have some good ones here❤️

I unfortunately went in to the ER tonight miscarriaging and everyone was so kind and gentle the doctor was the absolute best he made me feel so comfortable and OK and being in a vounerable state and so helpless when you miscarry you need good nurses and doctors who are gentle and kind and have compassion most people just go to work do there jobs without any compassion but this is my 2nd time here and my first time was a wonderful experience with staff and this time was even better thankyou for the doctor and nurses on both shifts I got there about 330 pm for being so kind and helping me through this sad time I do have to go back in two days to check my levels see if they dropped and the Dr told me he would be there on Friday and consider him my OB right now he just made this horrible experience not so horrible because how kind he was how kind all of them were If I could give more then 5 stars I absolutely would! Now when I go back to work I'm gonna have to bring them all pancakes ❤️
