After going to the hospital for unrelated matter. I was discharged from this clinic and told I needed to have a new re-evaluation to continue my wound care there at their clinic. They said it was because of their policy and that I needed my primary care to continue my treatment. Take note my primary care is an Adventist health doctor an this is an Adventist health facility. My doctor could not be reached since it was Friday. I was then told that they would not treat me unless I had a new doctor's order. I then had a contact the hospitalist to get my care re-established. Once again an Adventist doctor. After hours of waiting and missing my appointment I was then called and told I can get a new appointment the following week. I said I would keep my appointment that I have scheduled that I could not come in at a different time due to work. They then told me that they needed a doctor's order from my primary care and that the hospitalist that I saw was only good to get me checked back? I explained to them for a third time that none of what I had been seen for in the hospital was related to my foot or wound so having to have my primary care contact them was redundant and not even necessary since I was not treated in the hospital for my wound. I had to be my own advocate take time from work to make these calls end up fighting for treatment. My wife and I pay good money for our insurance which is through Adventist and this is how they treat their own people.

My own personal experience with them suggests to anyone be careful about who you select locally for health because they're network has poor communication and they do not work to try to help you, only cover their own ass with policy. Words of wisdom that were given to me is. "It's always better. To Explain Why you did something. Instead of you didnt."

My primary care office contacted me and said they would try to see me also the following week.
But there was no way for the doctor to call the wound care clinic here. So instead a nurse friend of mine and my wife are going to a clean my wound an get supplies for me to get through the weekend because the only other option is the ER. We do have rapid care facilities here but it is only open during the day time.
