Unprofessional and Neglectful – A Disappointing Experience

I am utterly appalled by the lack of professionalism and basic care demonstrated by Deborah Feerer during my recent stay at South Peninsula Hospital. As a patient who was already dealing with significant health issues, the last thing I needed was a CNA who treated me with such blatant disregard.

From the moment this individual entered my room, it was clear that patient care was the last thing on their mind. Basic tasks such as checking vitals, providing assistance with mobility, and even simple requests like adjusting my bed or bringing a glass of water were either ignored or done with the bare minimum effort. On one occasion, I had to ask multiple times for help to reposition myself, only to be met with rude comments and eye-rolls.

This CNA's lack of empathy was staggering. There was no attempt to make me feel comfortable or listened to, and their dismissive attitude made an already difficult hospital stay even worse. I felt as though my needs were completely irrelevant, and when I voiced my concerns to other hospital staff, it was clear that this person’s behavior was not an isolated incident.

In addition, I witnessed them treating other patients with the same lack of care and attention, which only reinforces the fact that this is a pattern of unprofessional behavior, not an isolated mistake.

It’s truly unfortunate that a hospital environment that should be focused on healing and support has staff members like Deborah Feerer who are not only failing to meet basic standards of care but are actively making patients’ experiences worse. I strongly urge the hospital administration to take a long, hard look at this individual's conduct and make necessary changes to ensure that no other patient has to endure such a frustrating and demoralizing experience.

Professional and caring Speciality Clinic with the exact care team I’ve needed for years. A lack of Endocrine Care on the Kenai Peninsula led me to visit this clinic this summer after going many years without such care. Dr. Jerry Tanner and his medical assistant Brooke are now highly recommended by me!

I was in need of emergency medical services and reluctantly went to the emergency room here to get treatment. I was pleasantly surprised on the high quality of medical services provided to me. Dr. Martinez and the emergency medical staff were kind and through. Not only was I patched up but I was completely and expertly evaluated. Ready for specialist care on my return home. Thank you.
