My husband has some issues with his legs. We sold our place in Sarasota a while back, so we are just visiting. SMH has always treated us with the utmost respect. A very diligent Tamir signed my husband in. Stephanie, a cheerful proficient nurse, did his intake. Dr. Patrick Story spent more time with my husband than ever would be required. He was very sincere yet down to earth. He gave good advice and answered our every question. Moira, a super cautious nurse, took my husband's blood per the doctors request without giving him pain. We have always appreciated SMH Urgent Care. They quickly pinpoint your ailment and move forward. Thanks so much for taking good care of my husband today and taking great care of both my husband and myself for all the years we had lived in Sarasota.

Took my daughter on a Sunday mid-morning and had no problems being seen right away. She was dealing with a really bad sore throat that had been sticking around for a while so we had a strep test done. In and out quickly and was very happy - until we got the bill. We have high deductible catastrophe insurance so I knew we'd have to pay for everything out of pocket. I wasn't expecting it to be 4X what we had paid at a different urgent care the year before. Never going back here.

So I couldn't get in to see my doctor so I took the day off work to come here. Yes I have been here before but this time I don't think they did what they was to suppose to do as far as the doctor I told her my symptoms and what was going on and all she could give me was steroids....and in the meantime hear iam still with a plugged ear congested as ever....I just want to get better I don't feel that she listen to me and just told me she can give me this .....and when I mentioned an antibiotic she said that won't help and I asked her again about my ear and the same nothing wrong with them....then why are they plugged and the other times I've been there they gave them to me and guess what it help
Need to say I won't go back or if I do I will refuse her or just not go back to that one.....I just wish doctors would listen more to whats going on with patients this is ridiculous....

Left yesterday feeling like I just got robbed for $150 I saw Dr B and I didn’t want to but I had to mention something I read online because I have strange hard nodules on my leg and also my lymph node on my throat is swollen and online diagnosed it perfectly so I can’t imagine how annoying it is for a doctor to hear that a patient googled there diagnosis but I had to suggest it especially after she suggested it was a bug bite. I did tell her the first large hard nodule came 5-6 weeks ago then another a week after and another 2 days ago. What are the chances a bug would only bite my left lower shin, there’s no sign of a bite and would a bug bite reaction last 5-6 weeks? So I just wanted her opinion on erythema nodosum which says large tender red nodules appear on the shins triggered by infections elsewhere in the body. A common cause is strep throat. I got home yesterday and noticed I have multiple spots of puss in my throat. She would have seen them if she bothered to look at my throat after I told her my lymph node was swollen instead she said “some people have skinny necks and they just stick out sometimes” REALLY!! I was polite while she said these things and I shouldn’t have been but I felt bad because she got incredibly offended when I said I read something online, as I started to show her my phone she said “ no, please don’t” and put her hand up to block my phone. I didn’t want to offend her further but why should I feel bad? Why is it alright that I keep paying money for bad information. I just paid another doctor 2weeks ago who diagnosed cellulitis I took antibiotics and grew another nodule now Dr B prescribed another antibiotic that won’t help my throat so I have to pay for another doctor to prescribe another antibiotic and to get a correct diagnosis. It would be great if doctors got paid after they did there jobs correctly and only if they did there job correctly. I wouldn’t pay a lawn care company to piss on my lawn. They get paid after the lawn is cut. I would have felt differently about this situation if she took the time to listen and if she didn’t agree just explain why and I would have been happy with that instead of an extremely unlikely guess.

Made an appointment for 9am. Got to urgent care at 8:40. They told me to sit and wait for my number to be called. Got to desk about 20 after 9. Put in a room and it is 9:25 and I have not been seen yet. It is now 10:24. Not sure why they even ask you to make appointment!! Still waiting……….a nurse just come in The appointment system anyway because they don’t really go by it just FYI for anybody that makes an appointment at Sarasota urgent care

My 69 year old husband went to this urgent care because his moderate to severe degenerative disc disease is not improving with at home exercise. They told him they are incapable of writing a prescription for physical therapy. With the way they dismissed his needs, you would think he was asking for oxycodone or something. We are here from NC for 4 months, don’t have a PCP here and can’t get an appointment for at least a month. They should be ashamed for turning away a patient in pain who only wanted physical therapy, but they aren’t ashamed and they don’t care.

I came on 01/12/2025 at 1:30pm to this urgent care. I told a girl at the reception I was experiencing abdominal pain compatible with appendicitis. The girl charged me 100$ and collected my insurance information just to have a doctor to tell me they don't have the resources to evaluate my abdomen. I requested a refund and they told me they can't because "the doctor saw me".
It looks like they are starving for money. So sad when you take advantage of people health
