I first came to SIMED when my 15+ years primary care physician, Dr. Elizabeth Velasquez moved there. She was totally AWESOME! She sent me to various specialty doctors for different things and they were all very good. When Dr. Elizabeth moved down south I was terrified as to who I could possibly find to fill her shoes! I met with several different doctors trying to find someone I thought I could be OK with. FINALLY I found what I thought might be the right primary care doctor for me. It was Dr. Timothy Elder and I can't even begin to tell you how WONDERFUL he is! In my opinion he is the perfect PC doctor. He also sends me to specialists that I like and some of my original specialty doctors have now joined SIMED also. In my humble opinion the only problems I have seen is that there is not a good flow of information from some of the different office staff. They say they sent an order for a test and you will be called by the dept and it takes many calls to different places and you are told different things each time you talk to a different person. I believe they are working on getting that streamlined. The physicians are so good that it's definitely worth the frustrations occasionally encountered.

I had an appointment at 8:30 with Robert Jones as a new patient. The front staff were very nice and helpful, and my appointment got finished well within the expected time range. Jones was wonderfully friendly and personable, and it was one of the best experiences I've had at the doctors'.

Maybe it's because all I was doing was basically giving a history and getting a basic physical, but I did not experience any of the delays or rudeness others mention here. Even in the lab, which was quite busy and bustling, they were friendly and got me through in under half an hour.

I noticed on my credit report in 12/19 they had submitted an unpaid bill for $25.44. My copay has always been $50 and paid at each visit. I called and got a huge run around about a bill from the 2016?!! So to get it off my credit I agreed and paid the amount , then 3 days later received a bill for $24.56 they said was for 6/2018. I disputed that since I have a receipt. Then 1/20/20 I recieved another bill for $50 for a visit from 10/14/2019. Again I have the receipt where I paid my $50 copay. I called again and hear the December bill was incorrect and should have never been sent ... then where did my $25.44 go to? Oh they can’t answer that. Medical billing fraud at its finest. Love my doctor but refuse to deal with this incompetence. They ruined my credit score off of their mistake and keep compounding that mistake. They make you pay the copay before you are even seen and it’s straight forward $50.... worst office billing department ever! If I could give 0 stars I would

Zero point zero. Not saying that this medical office is different than any other, because they all mistreat patients. Donald W. Scott has new patient appointments at 6:45 a.m. and sends you a barrage of paperwork to fill out at home to bring with you upon your visit. But, the doctor doesn't even get to the office until 7:00 and then who knows when you'll finally be fortunate enough for him to swoop in from his lofty Doctor throne to have you wait on him in a different room in back.

The front office doesn't know what date, time, year, planet, dimension, metaphysical essence they're in either. My appointment was not communicated properly over the phone and they were unwilling to accommodate-- or even look into accommodating. They refused to do this because Doctor Donald Scott wasn't in the office yet.

There are certain rules to live by and the one that has gotten me this far in my life is don't trust a man with two first names. Donald Scott shares an office with Mark Lloyd. I blame myself for even considering this office.

Patients are customers.

It has been one negative experience after another working with this group. I never write reviews but want to spare you the headache of dealing with them. They rarely answer your calls and if by some miracle you actually speak to a person it means nothing. It's not necessarily the office personal although they seem frustrated and over it... I think its the lack of caring on the part of the doctors. My mother needs oxygen and she just needs the doctor (Martinez) to sign the paper work which has been sitting on her desk for over two months. Now the company that supplies the tanks is coming to pick up the oxygen because they still haven't received the okay from the doctor. No Phone Calls are EVER Returned. They don't care. Save yourself the heartache and stress and find another provider. We are looking now, my mother is sick with worry and I am so disappointed. SIMED NEEDS TO DO BETTER!!!!

My doctor was convinced to join SIMED a few years ago. He is wonderful but when he retires I'm not going to stay with this practice. He is under constant pressure to see patients as quickly as possible, the main doctor in charge is NOT a nice person, and I can't get any information without playing phone tag all day.

My husband and I went for our annual well visit and they charged us $75 each. We were told that we would be reimbursed for the money. We booked the visit under a well visit that it was covered at no charge under the insurance, once per year. Long story short, they took our money, told us that a well visit is when you come in and you say everything is fine, said they would refund our money and fired us as patients instead. The PA told me that what I do for a living was bull crap (obviously she was a smoker), we test and mitigate radon. We didn't get the blood work done that is also covered under a well visit once per year. The kicker of it all.......5 months later my husband was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer and his life is horrible. Had the Doctor done their job it could have been caught earlier. Absolutely the most unprofessional practice I have ever seen.

I went in last week (9/23/15) to see the dr for pain. I was forced to see someone I had not seen before or I had to wait for an extended period of time. He orders blood work and a referral to a rheumatologist. The girl at the front counter could not set up an appointment for any sooner than October 6th so she said she would send a request to the rheumatology department to have them call me to set up an appointment. It is now the 28th. I called and, after multiple rings, had to leave a message on a voice mail system that did not even say that it was the rheumatology department. I called my primary and explained the situation and she forward my call to the Director of Administration......where I had to leave another voice mail. I have yet to hear from anyone and I still have no appointment.
