Dr. Nicora was beyond rude to me. I had 4 stitches on my elbow and 2 of which had come undone at work. I called before coming in to see if I needed to come in or to just leave it, I was told to come in. I was in the waiting room for two hours before being taken into a room. Dr. Nicora told me that all I needed was a bandaid. I was frustrated and started crying uncontrollably. She asked “why are you crying” I said “i’m just frustrated” and Dr. Nicora said “we all get frustrated” and rolled her eyes. The nurses on staff were comforting me and being outstanding not only nurses but human beings. Dr. Nicora left the room and came back to explain more to me what was going on. I kept asking questions like what if the stitches fall out and she kept saying that they were fine. Lastly I asked her if it was okay for me to return to work, as that’s where the stitches were broken in the first place. She then turned around and flicked her hand at me and left the room. She was not only rude but not understanding of my concerns. I left the facility sobbing, I went to my car and received a call that “Dr. Nicora made a mistake.” I then go back into the facility to see what mistake was made. I was taken into the same room where a different nurse or doctor Im not sure, explained to me that I needed to get some sort of tape on my elbow to keep the skin together. She did just as such and taped up my elbow and put some sort of smelly liquid on it. The front desk was extremely helpful as well as the nurses, but Dr. Nicora was careless of my feelings and my health. I have never had an experience with a Doctor that made a mistake, let alone not care that they made a mistake.

Very disappointed. This clinic claims to be “patient centered” and is the complete opposite. I came in today at noon. I was told they are currently full and will not be taking patients again until 1 PM even though their lobby was completely empty — completely understood as I worked at an urgent care for a few years. I asked the receptionist if I could at least get the new patient packet that way I can get a head start on paperwork and she agreed and told me, “come back in at 1 and we’ll get you checked in”. I went home and filled out the paper work, then came back at 12:55 PM and was turned away. I explained what the previous receptionist told me, and was told, “I don’t know what to tell you, come back tomorrow”. I was completely stunned at the lack of patient care, empathy, or just plain decency as a human. I will be filing a formal complaint with the State as this is negligent patient care, especially since they are a COUNTY urgent care - not private practice. I’m sorry, you don’t just get to pick and choose who you het to provide care to in healthcare.

Went to urgent care not long after they opened. From walk in to walking out was about 2 hours, which I feel is normal for an urgent care. All the staff I encountered were extremely nice. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to them putting a sign up saying they were full. I felt bad for all the people having to turn around. I can't go to a lot of different urgent cares due to my insurance. I'm sure that is the case for a lot of the people turning around.

I am a far Northern client I have autism I got bronchitis within the last week went into this urgent Care they only gave me a 5-day supply of azithromycin telling me to take it within 24 to 48 hours I did that they said that when it gets worse so I took it when it got worse usually I've always been given a seven day supply of azithromycin which totally kills the bronchitis I go in there today I have two things I've got to try to take care of they wouldn't even see me for the bronchitis again which can actually be considered malpractice because it is something that if it comes back severely it can lead to pneumonia I have an intense fear of pneumonia because it is what killed my grandmother again I'm going to say I have autism diagnosed autism which I made very clear to them several times today and last week today my first amendment right and my Ada rights were broken when they were not going to see me for my bronchitis I got a little stubborn as autistics do and I said well when I get pneumonia you guys will be the first ones I come to see the lady at the desk in her twenties took it as a threat as a lot of 20 year olds do on just even the simplest of comments there was no empathy within her to see what I was meaning by that when she asked me what do you mean by that what I meant by that is maybe it will teach them empathy when they see me coming there back in there because of their malpractice with pneumonia The jerk took it as a threat I did not threaten them I said this will be the first place I come when I get pneumonia because I was Fed up by the bureaucracy she then proceeded to ask me what did I mean by that and I put my hands on the desk flat and I said oh my gosh you're taking it as a threat you youngins always take everything as a threat mind you I am 34 I'm just fed up with all of this cancel people over nothing crap I'm in a doctor's office when I said that so it makes no sense just because she didn't like what I said it does not make it against the rules against the law or something that should get me banned as a client but it did she also when I said the youngins comment she was accusing me of screaming at her well I was just trying to talk while crying which never sounds great but she if she's a professional should have the discernment skills to notice that instead of allow her emotions to get in the way of her job I was not being a dick but she was trying to tell me how my doctor's visit went last week and I said then why would he prescribe me the z-pack if he wasn't concerned about bronchitis I was told that the bronchitis was starting to set in this is why I needed to wait for it to get worse because at the time it was just an upper respiratory but you could hear it in the lower lungs which indicates bronchitis and when I was trying to explain that to her she got cocky and I said listen I know my body my body is not over it they should have given me a 7-Day supply they also called security on me for having this autistic moment it is against the law for them to be so biased against autistic moments it's actually against ada policy that they judge me for being utterly honest with my autism I was not cussing was threatening nobody but she took it as a threat because I sternly said that when I get pneumonia they will be the first ones I see they're a doctor's office they need to deal with it they can't handle autism that way and I'm pretty sure I have a lawsuit they will be hearing from far Northern and Ada lawyers very soon what happened in there was atrocious behavior on their part I take accountability for getting frustrated and stimming very hard and starting to have a bit of a meltdown when they told me I could not be seen the meltdown I think that the security company also needs to rebrief their security on Ada laws and regulations of how to handle and an establishment because the security guard literally this is capable of a lawsuit they kicked me out because of my autism and I'm considering taking this issue to KRCR it was the latinx girl w/ highlights..actions have legal consequences deal / it

SCHC, you are a great resource. My only concern is Urgent Care, hard to be seen, if at all. More availability would be great.

Drive 45 minutes to their Urgent Care facility just to be told it was FULL why even have a Urgent Care if you aren't going to be open to the pub when people need it.

Dr. Hawley is still my favorite Doctor at Shasta community! Always a pleasure to see. Always happy with the length of our appointment. He answers questions well and has a great sense of humor, which goes far. As a specialist he has top marks from me.
