AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I went into the ER and was told by triager in the waiting room that I can wait about six hours to be checked in and seen or just go home and wait it out. So I just went home then received a bill for $1000. I never even got past the waiting room. They never even asked for my insurance info because they never even checked me in. I called billing and they stand by the $1,000. Oh but so graciously offered a discount so I’d only have to pay $750. For NO medical exam/ treatment / advice. I’m typically a UCSD patient and they would NEVER. Absolutely filing an insurance grievance. I’ll risk my life getting to a UCSD hospital before I EVER step foot in any Sharp facility again. What a joke.

Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. We were brought to the back quicker than we expected because the waiting room was crowded. There's an option on their website to "tell them you're on the way." I honestly don't know if that helps your wait time. The Dr came in right away. He was good. We didn't feel we could ask many questions because he seemed rushed. But the nurse was amazing. Sam. She was patient, answered questions, and is great at her job. Also, the woman who worked tonight in registration was extremely helpful. (I wish I had got her name.) Would we go back? Yes!

Several years ago I wrote a review of this hospital inhumane practices and lack of accountability to their workers.
I was a victim of a gas leak and went in due to chest pains and anxiety. My family has a history of heart problems and caused great concern.
In this visit, I was proven again, that this hospital needs to be investigated.
The nurses were beyond unprofessional and genuinely raised concern for the hospitals ability to properly treat patients. Upon arrival a nurse physically assaulted me while I was experiencing a panic attack because she couldn’t calm me down. She approached my bed and put her hands on me aggressively yelling my name and when I was in shock questioning why she did that she walked away and flailed her arms for me to be rolled outside where I was left alone to scream and cry in pain. I addressed it to three nurses, for the name and that I wanted to press charges and they refused to give me the name. they then excused her actions saying she thought I was in shock. They also said they would send two charge nurses to talk to me and report the incident and never did.
Did 1 EKG test for 20 seconds, left me completely alone with essential oils, not monitoring me at all, gave me Ativan a benzodiazepine which I specifically asked NOT TO GIVE ME AS I EXPERIENCE HORRIBLE WITHDRAWALS FROM PAST ANXIETY MEDICATIONS. I had no follow ups or instructions on what to do and the physician came in while I was still hooked on the monitor and said u was ready to go. No paperwork, no recommendations and they rushed me home.

I will be seeking legal action against the hospital if I cannot receive the name of the nurse who assaulted me and for the physical harm caused by giving me Ativan

The ER here is a joke. Brought my son in at 2:30am for a severe cough, and trouble breathing. ER staff did not wear a mask despite me politely asking her to. She was in direct contact with my son, and was face to face with him. We were brought back to a room where they did a swab for flu/covid. We’ve been waiting over an hour for results, and nothing. At home tests are faster than this. We’ve been subjected to the nursing staffs inappropriate conversation and laughter while our son is sitting here sick and crying. If I could give this dump zero stars, I would.

There's literally a full on altercation going on in the lobby and the guard out front is telling me that after being here with my mom and dad for the last 8 hours in the ED, that i am violating hospital policy. Supposedly, they only allow one companion in the ED even if I am sitting in the lobby waiting to take my parents home. He "allowed" me in to give my mom my dad's reading glasses, but told me if i wasn't out in 3 minutes he would "come in to find me". Nice job, rent-a- cop. Nice. Job. I hope your masculinity has been restored.

If it weren't for the actual important medical professionals, I'd never use Sharp services again. Your security "guards" suck and really think that they're real law enforcement.

The nurses, techs and doctors were incredible. The hospital has beautiful gathering areas, beautiful views, vending machines and fully stocked cafeteria. The patient room was quiet and the atmosphere relaxing.

Came in with my daughter she is pregnant wit her first baby and we have been waiting here for hours. She had an ultrasound and she felt like the nurse that was assigned to do it wasn't doing it right. Brought her back and not heard a word since then! Nurses are so loud talking laughing and joking about what school they went, their personal life's while patients are trying to sleep. We have been here since 12am and it's 4:37 and still no dr has come to tell us anything. Barely right now she walks in.. but all she said was in a hurry. 🙄
