My mother was brought to the emergency room 3/07/25 and later moved to the ICU unit where we said our last good byes. As much as I would never wish the experience of losing someone you love my wish is that if you have to you get to do it in a place like here. The entire staff was kind, compassionate, educated and respectful. They always took their time to explain everything and we never felt rushed. A huge thank you to their entire staff for helping us ease my mom into her next chapter.

If I could give this place Zero stars I would this ER is an absolute joke my mom and daughter were in a car accident my mom was hysterical and has problems with anxiety they wouldn’t give her anything to calm her down my daughter and I waited 6 hours from the time we got there till the time we left for them to just check her over and have a CT scan done. If your injured or sick go to Vero ER this place is a joke lucky nobody was cut cause they would bleed to death in this place GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Walked into the ER yesterday and although the nurses and the doctor(for the 50 seconds seen) were all very kind, there were some issues.
The only question about medications asked to me was "are you on blood thinners?" I was then prescribed a medication that does have adverse reactions to other medications I take. Good thing I check.
The absolute worst thing is the state of the ER bathroom! Unacceptable! Blood on the floor, wall and sink! Wasn't cleaned for 3 hours (I was there for 6).
oh and the release instructions said they went over things that were never mentioned
Have to add- I know it is an emergency room but am I supposed to pretend I didn't hear the medical history of the person in the same bay as I am? I got so much info I could answer questions for that patient

Steward hospital is the worst, they are always short staff, pray you don’t die there as intelligence is limited there. The ethics of this company is garbage! They don’t pay their bill, are filing for bankruptcy at this current time, and likely money laundering. Stay away!!! Unless you have a death wish than go.
They no longer are doing lawn care and city should site them for being out of code. Disgusting and a shameful place to call a hospital. People of Sebastian deserve a better company to care for those in need of good health care.

I had to wait until I felt better to write this review. I was recently hospitalize here for 4 days and when I tell you my experience was awesome. I tried not to to be a nuisance due to being in pain, but Nichole and Rosa were the best. Everybody was good and very respectful, but I could only remember them because all the anesthesia had wore off by then. If I had to be hospitalized again, I will go all the way to Sebastian first. Even though they went through the completeness to Orlando Health while I was there, they did not miss a beat. Thank you again to all the ladies and gents who were part of my recovery.

I used the outpatient department for a procedure. All the people were kind, attentive and friendly from the intake and technology staff to the nurses and doctors. They made sure I was comfortable and the Medicare insurance took care of everything it was supposed to.

This place is Garbage!! I sat in ER for hours and never seen anyone in the lobby get called but I did see 5 other people leave. The only people that stayed were the one who could not make it to vero or palmbay. Poor, poor people. I will never take this pace serious. My last visit they printed out my prescriptions and I couldn't get it filled until I checked into another emergency room. VERO AND PALMBAY have their staff and doctors on point. This place was horrible.

I usually don’t take the time to leave reviews, but in this case, I had to. I’m so disgusted with my recent visit to the ER that I feel compelled to share my experience to prevent anyone else from going through this.

Five weeks ago, I had surgery at a different hospital to correct a 21- and 56-degree curve in my spine. Recently, I started experiencing excruciating pain in my upper back, and I suspected that a screw was coming loose from one of the rods. I went to the ER, explained my situation, and got a CT scan, which confirmed that the screw was indeed coming out.

When I first arrived, they gave me muscle relaxers and pain medication, but neither provided any relief. The nurse checked on me later and asked how I was feeling, to which I responded that I felt exactly the same—I didn’t feel the medication working at all. After the doctor confirmed the issue with the screw, he reassured me by saying that he would prescribe pain medication until I could see my surgeon.

I thought, “Great!”—especially since Hurricane Milton was hitting the next day, and the last thing I wanted was to be stuck without power and in severe pain. Imagine my shock when I found out the prescription was for the exact same medication that had done nothing for me intravenously, now in oral form.

I understand there’s an opioid epidemic, but at some point, doctors need to recognize when it's appropriate to prescribe actual pain relief. I feel for people struggling with addiction, but I am not willing to endure the pain of a screw coming loose in my spine because of their poor choices. When doctors are too scared of the consequences of prescribing opioids to the point that they allow patients with legitimate pain to suffer, something needs to change. If a failed screw in my spine isn’t enough to warrant proper pain management, then what is?

If doctors are too afraid to help due to fear of government reprisals, what are we supposed to do? Just lie down and suffer? After this experience, I might return to this hospital for something as minor as a stubbed toe or maybe even a blister, but I wouldn’t trust them to care for anything more serious. I strongly suggest traveling the extra distance to Holmes Regional, no matter how badly you're injured—you won’t receive the help you need here.
The screw that came loose is the top left of the X-ray

UPDATE: the reply they posted asking to speak to me goes to a blocked email address that just returns the email as undeliverable. The reply is a sham to make you think they care.
