I cannot tell you enough wonderful details this doctor. He treated my boyfriend for Covid (December 2021) and was utterly amazing! From checking up on him multiple times a day and making sure his spirits were kept up. My boyfriend was very bad off but Dr. Downing made sure he was properly medicated and I believe because of this man I still have my boyfriend with me. This man (Dr. Downing) is everything you look for in a doctor especially when wanting to be treated like an individual not just another patient. Thank you Dr. Downing! May God bless you every day!

My husband and I stumbled upon Dr Downing by accident. Turns out it was a gift. Sick with Covid, my husband was discharged from SMH with a simple antibiotic. The next day he continued to spiral, so checking his discharge papers it said to call First Physicians for any follow up. I was really scared and so I called and the gal (Jill someone) asked me questions about his hospitalization. When i mentioned Covid, her tone immediately changed. She was incredibly abrasive, dismissive, and frankly hateful. I was in tears. She said I CANNOT HELP YOU. So we ended up calling back the number that had called to give us the results of his test and got Dr. Downing. He was so kind, and so calm and he walked us through his thoughts and this protocol he has been using for Covid patients that has been wholly successful. We started it immediately and though we had some twists and turns he held our hands throughout and was available any time, night or day, to hear our concerns and tweak things as days went by. It is so rare these days, it seems, to have the compassion and bedside manner Dr. Downing possesses and when youre dealing with something so unknown and scary, its absolutely invaluable! And this is also evident in his staff! From the people who answer the phones to Coral, the nurse, you just felt loved and like this meant as much to them as it did to us! We are forever grateful to the good Doctor and his staff that in 9 days my husband will be walking our daughter down the aisle!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Dr. Downing and his staff are incredibly caring and down to earth as well as professional. I wouldn’t be comfortable going anywhere else. Dr. Downing is truly a kind, caring and sincere human being. He always takes the time to listen and I never feel hurried. Can’t say that about many physicians these days, sadly. Thank you for your care and kindness and medical knowledge.
