I’ve been a paraplegic for 20 years. I have been dealing with medical institutions for years. Sutter, UCSF, Stanford , Providence and many other independent offices. Dr Cheng is absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and kind! The PSR and MA’s are rude and then they hang up on me. They have no clue about how medical offices are operated! Avoid this place if you can! You’d think that a health center for the poor would be better run, it’s Not!

The negative reviews are so dumb. It’s a doctor’s office that takes medi-cal. Of course they’re busy and running behind. The front staff has no control over anything whatsoever. Everytime I’ve gone they’ve been great. My son’s pediatrician Christine Martin was excellent. Too bad she moved. But regardless, I will continue to take my son here. I find this campus to run the best. Don’t let the negative reviews fool you. They’re great here.

I have received incredibly thorough and compassionate care here by the OB team. I felt heard, included and advocated for. An excellent patient experience.

The schedulers are unbelievably unempathetic and thoughtless. They canceled a crucial behavioral health appointment for my son and didn’t inform me. I only found out from another department while I was trying to reach them to reschedule said appointment (left 3 messages with them and never heard back). I had to show up in person two days in a row to get the actual story and get an appointment rescheduled for my son. Apparently the resident who scheduled his behavioral eval didn’t go through the proper procedure and their doctor in charge of that department left anyway. They never bothered to call me to let me know what was going on or answer my 3 messages.

Then someone in medical appointments today scheduled two appointments in one day with different providers there for my son. Hours later someone else called back and left a message. She asked me to call back. I called back and it took two people 20 minutes to figure out why I was called in the first place! Turns out the person in the morning shouldn’t have scheduled 2 in one day, insurance won’t cover that!

The people who work there have repeatedly messed up and when someone else goes to fix it they are unempathetic to suffering mothers and children, repeatedly explaining policy to me and not listening to what my son needed and why. This has happened multiple times now. It’s so frustrating.

My father had an appointment at 2:45. It was 305. I had to go talk to the receptionist to ask if the doctor was running late and they said oh yes, she is. They never communicated with me. I had to go up there. They were not busy at all. They were there, looking at the computers like they were doing something. And their same-day appointments is you have to be there at 8am and if somebody doesn’t show up you get that appointment that is ridiculous. To have to wait all day.

The medical doctor side and reception has been mostly okay. Have had to wait a little while for appointments a few times before and the care is mostly good with who I've seen. Wait times can be a little long on medical and the new optometry side. The dental side i didnt have a good experience with my child and them so i wont be going there again. I had to wait a long time for optometry that they just opened. The doctor was nice and seemed to do his job well until there was a mistake on the report and he told me you didn't need an appointment for getting frames but you did.

Was referred here by my pcp for specialized care, there is no way to make an appointment other than a single phone number that is seemingly shared between all campuses which directs to a call center out of the country that is only open during my work hours and there is no online appointment application anywhere to be seen. Desperately needs to add online services as other centers have already done. It's taken 3 weeks for them to book my first appointment and I'm still not able to get access to my referred care. I've never been this angry with a health care service before.
You *will* get put on hold for 10-15 minutes just to be told they don't have your information.

I have never been late for an appointment here, and every time I wait for around 40 minutes to 2 hours. I already waited 2 hours and with my son. Imagine 2 hours inside a clinic with a child. The service from the receptionists is terrible this year, 2024. And once I arrived late for 5 minutes due to TRAFFIC and they told me they wouldn't help me, the nurse who was going to provide the first service today with no education at all was very Be rude to me, I had never been through a situation like this. And he even mistreated me in front of everyone in the waiting room. WE WILL CHANGE CLINICS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
