If you are pregnant & high risk avoid Dr.Short and this clinic at all costs. There are other employees who are great people but my experience outweighs the whole clinic for the neglect they showed me. I gave birth April 10th and Dr. short canceled my postpartum visit twice. Now the clinic can’t see me because I’m past 8 week post partum so I guess I’ll never receive clearance from a doctor. On top of that I was forced to see Dr.short throughout my pregnancy even after I mentioned he made me feel uncomfortable. He made I necessary comments about my body as a women. When I expressed this over the phone the receptionist said tell your “health case worker” I was ignored. Then at. My appt I requested to make a change in person and the nurse said “well I see him, & he’s never made me uncomfortable”. completely invalidated my feelings. I’m just very upset that certain staff and Dr.short have treated me like another number and not an actual person.

The staff is very unwelcoming, they nurses forget about you in the rooms. We were sent to Xray and it took the doctor to ask why we were never sent or given paperwork. You wait more for the nurses to bring your orders and prescription than to see a doctor. The nurses are unprofessional and have no compassion or interesr in patient care. It just a paycheck to them. Another thing the room are always empty in the back which does not explain long wait times in the lobby. If you come be prepared to spend the entire day just waiting on the nurses to do their job. I Watched one and it took her over 45 minutes to discharge a patient. The entire time she was talking to a coworker. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! THEY Blame it all on their new system they just got but honestly I been here prior to the change and it was the same.

Too unprofessional. They require you to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment, which I have no problem with, but they cancel your appointments while you are already there at the clinic. It has some doctors that in my appointments that I have gone to have no experience. I can mention one by one. It is useless, at least this clinic in Chula Vista is useless. For this reason I am changing my clinic myself and my children. Your service is very poor.

Don’t come here if you’re sick or feel bad these guys will make you feel bad for coming, and treat you like you’re lying, they also don’t mind taking half your day away! Oh yeah the best part is you get harassed by the security guard in the front just for parking your car! Worst urgent care ever go somewhere else they are bad and unprofessional there is plenty of other places I just made the mistake of thinking because it’s San Ysidro Health that they would treat their patients better, boy was I wrong, never coming back again.

Let’s see, there’s many things that sucks about this place.
1. Wait time is ridiculous (3 hours wait)
2. Rude receptionist
3. Security guard on their phone (very unprofessional)
4. Why is it so cold, put on the heater or something

I’ve been a patient here for 20 years, the national city, and Chula Vista both suck. The only reason why I bothered going to see the doctor was because my ear was hurting badly and I still had to wait for 3 hours. No wonder my family doesn’t wanna bother going to see the doctor. it’s a waste of your time and they don’t care since they’re making money.
