A department of HEALTH hiring a morbidly obese woman to teach them about "weight stigma" is crazy. She literally says it's ok for everyone to be fat, and there's nothing wrong with it. She says she doesn't owe anyone her health, yet the taxpayer covers her emergency bill every time she goes to the hospital due to her massive, massive morbid obesity.

Maybe it's time the department of public health took their role a bit more seriously, given there isn't a back-up department of health in SF that actually prioritizes health.

I have experienced and witnessed shocking and disgusting systemic abuse in two SFDPH facilities, SF General Hospital and Maria X Martinez. A horrible mixture of circumstances have empowered particularly nurses to take their frustrations out on patients. SFDPH does not care about their responsibility of providing dignified care to their often vulnerable patients.

This person is representing you and the city as a consultant. Her personal and financial interest is ahead of the public’s. What other local government is renting out their wardrobe?

I can't believe they let their workers violate HIPAA just because they are director I had someone try to tell me oh I can tell you all about your boyfriend and why they there for a small price but because they're the director of coding and medical billing there's nothing they can do see what my legal team has to say If you're wondering who the employee is it's Tammy Higgason she's going to sell public she's going to sell private and confidential information.

I was cursed with an incredibly insensitive phone operator when I returned their call about my positive COVID test. I'm a healthcare worker, vaccinated, and well-versed in the protocols. They answered my call by saying "SFDPH, what are you calling about?" When I said "You called me..." they said "Yes, I called you about..." and launched into very personal questions without telling me why they called. When I told them I had been receiving nonstop communications from SFDPH asking me a multitude of questions, and needed to rest, the person said "Well, it sounds like you don't need any of our resources," and right as I was saying "I didn't know you were offering resources, I might need something" they HUNG UP. Trash.

Someone from this department didn't like my interpretation and whined about the fact that it was taking time to translate complex words, such as Acetaminophen, Atorvastatin etc. Perhaps pay attention to your job instead of wasting time on lengthy, negative feedbacks. Interpreters are not your robots.

I once went there about 8 or 9 years ago to request a birth certificate because the lady I went to go talk to at one of the windows had asked me for my DOB and therefore she had my name and birthday and place of birth. The only downside was that it costed me $20 for each paper that was printed in color. So I ended up paying $40 for my birth certificates. So expensive.
