I have been a patient of Dr. Joel for some time now, and I never had any issues until Desiree got upset when I told them to "figure it out." As a result, I was discharged as a patient. I called for four consecutive days, multiple times each day, without receiving a call back. On the fourth day, I received a call after hours, only to be told they were going to put me back on a medication that didn't work well for me.

I was out of medication for four days, which was an unprecedented situation for me. I'm 29 and suffer from chronic interstitial cystitis. It was incredibly frustrating to call multiple times a day, only to be told, "We will send a message," but nothing was done. I was informed it would take too long to resolve my issue, and if I didn't like it, I could find a new doctor because Dr. Joel wasn't going to help me.

I was asking for an alternative to a medication that my insurance denied, one that Dr. Joel had suggested and prescribed. There have been multiple instances that Dr. Joel is unaware of, and it's unfortunate that he is getting only one side of the story from his staff. I encourage you to check your recorded calls and speak to your patient care coordinators, who actively tried to assist me.

You left me feeling stranded, and for what? Because I was upset that nothing was being done and that I was without medication, suffering from sleepless nights? This treatment is cruel, and I have never felt so crushed before. I trusted your team, and I feel completely treated unfairly. I will be filing a consumer complaint and have proof of multiple instances where my care was not handled appropriately—not by Dr. Joel, but by the front office staff.

Dr. Joel, I wish you could hear my side of the story. Whatever was said to you to make you believe I was a threat to your office is not true; I was desperately trying to get help. I hope you take a closer look at your staff, as I am not the only one who can speak to this issue.

Thank you, Desiree, for taking away the only doctor who listened to my needs. Dr. Joel, you are not the problem; your staff is, and it's disheartening that they did not consider what I was going through.

Dr Salter is the nicest doctor ever and with his multiple degrees he can take care of anything from back pain to ear pain to my meds. His staff is friendly and returns my calls every time. Dr. Salter is the best!!! He’s always consistent and has been helping me for years. He is warm and calm and thoughtful and talks with me about options and side effects. Since he moved the new office is so beautifully decorated and perfectly cleaned every time I’ve been in the whole office and waiting room and restroom is spotless. The staff is very warm and friendly and I am more than happy to make the drive to keep him as my Dr. I will always recommend him to close friends and family.
