I’m 63 years old, I have COPD and had radiation on my throat 15 years ago which caused major scar tissue not to mention damage to my saliva glands, vocal cords & thyroid. I've had the Salin Plus system for my daughter since the first month she was born. She was born with Trisomy 21 and I had read that she may be susceptible to respiratory infections due to her smaller respiratory system. Well, I've used it religiously for over two years and she's never had an infection of ANY kind and she's had only 3 simple colds that go away within 5 days. Running the Salin Plus at night really keeps the mucous at bay and helps her breathing. It helps me as well when I've had allergies! It also provides a nice white noise for sleeping. I suffer from COPD and mold exposure. I ordered the Saline Plus in hopes of helping me breath. I have to tell you that my oxygen levels are usually 94 at bedtime and can be 92 in the am. I m tired as I cough a lot at night! Three days of sleeping with Saline Plus my oxygen level in the am are 97-98 in the am!!! I cough less in the morning and it is a much easier cough. I am so happy with this I have ordered a second one for my daytime area!!

Fantastic device! My toddler is "that" kid whose colds go straight to her chest, meaning lots of coughing! In the past we used a humidifier, but it never really helped (and I now know how bad they are for your health!). The Salin Plus Salt Therapy device has not only put a stop to night time coughing, but also reduced the duration of her coughs, colds and congestion. She's sleeping better, and so am I! I have used this product for just under 2 weeks now and must say I notice somewhat of a difference. It does seem to loosen up and secretions building up and as I read earlier , the beginning will be more so. There does leave a slight irritation in my throat and a bit of saltiness in my mouth which I assume will change over time and I am looking forward to this getting better and better as time goes on. I am seriously considering purchasing the Salt Pipe inhaler to use when out and about. It makes a lot of sense to continue the process in daytime when feeling the need.
