It was October of 2022 I decided I needed help. I had lost my mom at the beginning of year and for me this kind of grief was extremely hard to process. Thankfully, on my search for a therapist I discovered Safe Space to Struggle Counseling and Consultation Services. I can truly say this is my safe space. I really appreciate Dr. Champion for taking such tremendous care of me. Her professionalism is truly unmatched. She skillfully helped me to understand and unlock my true potential. I absolutely, love Mrs. Champion! I have been working with her for 4+ years. The foundation of our relationship was built, when I was a student at The Great Bethune-Cookman University. I was a wreck when I initially started working with her (Mrs. Champion). She is not only my Therapist, but she is the reason for me being successful on this journey of health, healing, and wellness! I always feel safe, heard, loved, respected, and cared for as a person.

It has been close 3 years since my first session with Mrs. Champion.
After meeting with several professionals over the years throughout my journey, Mrs. Champion is the only professional that has helped me feel comfortable enough, and created a space safe enough for me to take the next steps in my healing journey.
She listens. She provides professional and skilled guidance. And most importantly she truly does care about her clients !

My journey of healing and therapy support with Shatira started when I was in college at Bethune Cookman University, as a young adult I didn’t know the extreme benefits of counseling nor that I needed it! Shatira is the epitome of a healer!
