Surgeon called in Post-Op prescriptions at 7:22 PM the night before surgery. Patient at work.called Rite Aid in Anderson to request they be processed first thing in the morning as surgery was second case of the day with early discharge anticipated. Staff member Chris very rude to patient, told to call back next day. Husband called three times today as soon as Pharmacy opened, was hung up on twice, put on hold 20 minutes on third call, and then told meds not available until 11:30 AM. Patient forced to wait over 45 minutes in pain and nauseated for an Rx they had from 7:22 PM the night before. although staff KNEW this was for a fresh Post-Op patient. Meds finally ready at 11:38 AM. Meanwhile patient waiting and unable in car to elevate leg or put ice on it because she fould not go directly to home in Red Bluff. Only other alternative would have been to drive to Red Bluff to take patient home and leave them alone to drive back to Anderson to get prescription, so against Discharge Orders and not a safe thing to do. Chris the rude clerk apparently did not leave a note to have Rx worked on first, which patient had asked him to do. And husband could not get through on phone for quite a while. Not good post-op prescriptions care. Unnecessary escalation of pain and nausea for patient, and staff apparently does not care or prioritize!

Consistently terrible experiences with the pharmacy here. It feels like there's a problem every time I go to pick up my meds. The staff is unreliable and unhelpful. I've been told by staff here that they simply can't do certain things only for a different Rite Aid in another city to be able to do it with no problem. I'm told that there's an issue with my prescription and I need to contact my clinic only for them to tell klme everything's fine and it's the pharmacies fault. Then I go back and argue with the pharmacy until they go "Oh yeah, here it is." I don't know if they're understaffed or badly trained but going to this pharmacy is an annoying, frustrating, and tedious experience every time without fail.

I've been somewhat lucky, love the pharmacist to pieces. Friendly and very helpful. Girl with glasses that works the counter, not so pleasant (maybe some customer service training could help). We always feel as though we are interuping her day and are bothering her. But overall service is good!

Have used the pharmacy for just about 4 years now. There had been many issues in that time with getting my prescriptions filled on time and or told / texted false information about my prescriptions and when they would be filled. There have been times I needed to talk to someone in the pharmacy but can't get anyone to answer half the time. Or they will answer and ask me to please hold,.. forever. Or the phone will ring and then redirect my call back to the call waiting music. Sometimes even I have been hung up on. Seems like they have had a substantial turnover as far as in the way of pharmacy technicians. I feel Something's wrong the management of this pharmacy and or the competency of the staff. Presently waiting on a prescription three days late. When I was told verbally and via text it would be on time. I'm switching over to Safeway pharmacy, Safeway pharmacy will also give you $75 for switching to their pharmacy. There has been some smooth sailing but too many stormy days on this boat. Time to jump ship. The substitute pharmacist working on June 4th is incompetent and rude person. The lines were long outside the drive-in and inside, to kill the time I spoke with other patrons and 90% of the half dozen or more people I spoke with had unpleasant stories about this rite aid pharmacy. Do yourself a favor and find another pharmacy preferably Safeway or the little Mom and Pop pharmacy down the street from the post office in Anderson

Always a clean store, with friendly service. Convenient to where we live. We especially love the Ice cream counter. The kids love getting their ice cream cones in a variety of flavors! It's a nice added bonus. And the prices for the ice cream cones is very reasonable.

Almost impossible to reach pharmacy by phone. My Dr office sends my prescription over electronically so I have to actually speak to someone to make sure the prescription is filled . I live 30 min away so I cant just run in . I totally understand the understaffing but why not come up with a way to leave a message so I could get a call back .

5/10/24 Follow up to the above review . I was actually contacted by the local pharmacy today to hear my issues . In todays world of social media reviews it goes along way when a company actually cares about the customers and takes the time to hear the issues . It goes a long way when a large company like Rite Aid cares about customer service . My issues were resolved and I was advised of a way to communicate with the pharmacy regarding status of a prescription . Shout out to the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Anderson Ca for caring about customer concerns .

I've made every excuse in the book as to why they have a hard time. At this point though I am out of excuses. My son's prescription was called in over a week ago to them. When I called to confirm the prescription I wasn't told that they were out of stock so I went in to go pick it up. I was told this is over the counter and that we can find it on the floor. Was not able to find it found what they were referring to and was not the correct items. Was told that they would order the correct prescription and have it shipped the next day. Checking in every day for a week and they still have not ordered it. It's one thing when it's my prescription but when it's a six week old baby they need to do better.

This place need to hire more people of something it’s ridiculous from how long you have to wait for your prescription to being put on hold multiple times for 20 mins each time before maybe finally getting through on the phone
