When I realized I needed to get help and do a treatment program, I knew Refine Recovery was the place well before I step foot through the door. From my first phone call with Casey, it was clear to me how much he just genuinely cared about helping people on their recovery journey. Before I had even decided on going to Refine and was looking at various treatment centers, Casey checked in on me everyday—just to make sure I was okay.

So picking Refine for the treatment program was an easy decision, but truly I could not have imagined a more life-changing experience. Going into treatment for the first time I had no idea what to expect, but the community and staff are really what make Refine so special and effective. The amenities of course are a great plus (comfortable rooms and beds as well, great meals), but the close-knit nature of the program really allows the staff to give an individualized and focus treatment plan for each person. I felt so supported throughout my time there. Not only were there a variety of programs (among them Muay Thai, surf therapy, breath work, yoga, gym sessions, fun outings, etc. when I was there), but also the education I received through the individual and group therapy provided there have been invaluable to my recovery journey and outlook.

Really at the risk of sounding tacky I couldn't say more positive things about Refine and its staff. You will not find a more genuine, caring, supportive, loving community to help you in your recovery.

Refine has saved my life, and that’s not an exaggeration. This place will always hold a very special place in my heart for the role they have played in my recovery. The compassion they have for each and every person that walks through their doors is not something you’ll find at most treatment facilities. I unfortunately know this first hand - relapse is a large part of my story.

The tools they’ve given me through group therapy and the one-on-one therapy sessions are tools that I’ve found myself using daily and help me stay sober. Not only are the therapists amazing, every staff member you’ll meet from owner to tech to chef genuinely cares about you. It’s really special.

Case management will go above and beyond to help you get and stay sober. I didn’t think I’d be able to check myself in due to a number of financial and logistical concerns but they were able to finesse a solution for everything and get me in the door.

Another thing I really appreciate is that they don’t overcrowd the house. Group sessions felt intimate, and the facilitators did a great job of keeping groups on topic and participation equal.

This program is the real deal if you’re serious about sobriety. All of the amenities are a great bonus (love the food!) to a best in class treatment program that’s hard to find in this city. I can’t send enough praise their way.
