I was referred to Pamela a couple of weeks after my wife of 33 years passed away unexpectedly in January of this year. Pamela was a Godsend. She was vital in helping me to navigate the grieving process by going through-not around or avoiding it. While i will always love and miss my wife, Pamela has helped me to start to live my life again. My journey of grief will be with me for the rest of my life, I do have a life and owe it to myself and those i care about to live it.

Extremely unprofessional therapist with no respect for privacy or confidentiality. My mother was one of her clients and, in the interest of learning more about a dispute she and I were having, she encouraged my mother to secretly record a group counseling session (with a different therapist), so they could listen to it—without my knowledge or consent—in their individual session.

My mother, who suffers from bipolar disorder, later took these recordings—where I divulged my most private thoughts and feelings—and in a manic rage emailed them to other members of our family, and to a number of her friends. As a result, our relationship was damaged irreparably.

When confronted about this, Ms. Hand took no accountability. Rather than apologizing, she said that as I was not personally her client, patient-client confidentiality rules did not apply.

Legality aside, one should question the morals of a woman with such a cavalier attitude toward personal boundaries. For a therapist especially, to engage in such a violation of an individual’s privacy is abominable.

Working with Pamela is completely judgment free! She cares about everything in your life. I overcame my pride and was vulnerable with her and it was so worth it! Pamela helped me work through my trauma, and other things. She doesn't try to blame everything on your parents. She really looks at the truths you tell her and helps you find ways to heal the hurts. The Gottman method and other resources also helped with couple issues as well. Choose Pamela and give this time. We didn't get to our where we are overnight; it doesn't heal overnight. However, Pamela can give tips to help deal with items like anxiety immediately.
